Tag Title Match Announced For Smackdown, The Miz Turns Heel

- The Real Americans will face Cody Rhodes & Goldust for the WWE Tag Team Championship on this week’s episode of Smackdown. WWE will tape this week’s Smackdown Tuesday night from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. We’ll have full taping results coverage here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.

- The Miz turned heel on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. WWE turned him in a tag team match with Kofi Kingston against The Real Americans when Kofi was looking to tag out and Miz short-armed him. Miz’s heel turn isn’t completely unexpected as he worked as a heel on WWE’s European tour the past two weeks. It was unclear at the time if the turn would be make it to television as they look to promote his role in the upcoming WWE Studios production “Christmas Bounty.”

And after a year of useless being a face it’s back to heel mode for miz

It will be interesting to see if Miz can regain the momentum he had during his previous heel run. Going from WWE Champion as a heel, and then to almost being nonexistant as a baby face was a huge step back. Here’s to hoping he can overcome yet another one of WWE’s bone headed moves. There was no reason to turn him face when they did. Except to sell away from the ring merch. I hate when they do stuff like that. Because it kills any momentum someone’s character has going. Doesn’t make much sense to me to kill a character just to sell some movie or book. Especially when the vast majority of these peoples personal income is solely based on the success of their character. These books and movies make money for the company, but the individual nees to keep their character as strong as they possibly can to keep their income as high as possible. I don’t think I would want any part of that extracuricular stuff if it were me because I wouldn’t want to hurt my character just to make the company money. You might get some extra income at that time, but look how far down Miz’s character has gone for the past 2 years because of that kind of change. I just don’t think that it pays off in the long run, and I wouldn’t want any part of it.
