The Backstage Fallout Of Alberto Del Rio Pulling Up The Mask Of Sin Cara On WWE Raw – Prefacing What Happened With A Bizarre Confrontation Between The Two In Mexico In Which A Gun Was Pulled, What Del Rio Told Producers, Which Worker Has “Insane” Heat & What Everyone Is Talking About

There was a lot of chatter backstage at WWE Raw on Alberto Del Rio pulling up the mask of Sin Cara (pictured here).

I’m told there has been “insane heat” on Cara lately and Del Rio has been one of the main guys complaining about him. The two have had heat with one another since their time in Mexico. In fact, one source with knowledge of their past, told me there was an incident where Sin Cara allegedly pulled a gun on Del Rio.

Back to Monday, I’m told backstage after the match Del Rio claimed to producers that pulling up the mask of Cara was an accident. No one believed him but there isn’t heat on him because of the amount of heat on Cara. Some feel Del Rio even scored points with the office for doing it. The same observer says they wouldn’t be surprised if someone quietly put Del Rio up to it.

All and all the vibe backstage was Del Rio intentionally pulled up the mask of Sin Cara and more guys may start to mess with him until his attitude changes.

Can you elaborate Richard, on why exactly Cara has such insane heat, I know he has two strikes on the wellness policy, but is there more to it? Sounds like he has a very bad attitude.

    • Richard Gray

It's based on attitude… that's for sure. Sin Cara had a lot of heat from day one as do a lot of people that come in that are major stars only to be reduced in the WWE pecking order. Triple H was one of the only Cara supporters but he got furious after the Wellness violation.

I still think they should have just given the Sin Cara gimmick to Arias and released Urive. He's been trouble from the start and Arias did so well filling in and didn't botch nearly as much as Urive and the Hunico gimmick certainly isn't going anywhere.

As for unmasking, it's not like we've never seen his face before. It's not difficult to find a (recent) photo of him on the internet and if I recall correctly there has been at least one such photograph published on this site. The same goes for Mysterio, we all know what he looks like. It's no bigger a deal than us all wondering what Glen Jacobs really looks like under the mask – we already know that!

sounds like WWE is being immature by doing that…. they may think pulling the mask off sin cara is no big deal but in Mexico they take it seriously as disrespect..

    • Richard Gray

This is right on Patrick. No big deal here in the States but a HUGE deal to a Lucha-Libre

And we’re back to school playground bullying again

there goes your B-A STAR bullshit campaign Lmao!
This stupid company is campaigning this bullshit when they can't even implement this shit on their own company.

I don’t see an issue with this

Del Rio is a jackass. He was probably pulling crap like this dow in Mexico, maybe that's the reason why Sin Cara pulled a gun on his ass because he was doing stupid stuff like that. And why would Del Rio continue too mess with Cara like that. I wouldnt be messing with someone who once pulled a gun on me, just saying.
