The Great Khali Has Tumor Removed From Pituitary Gland

TribLive News is reporting that The Great Khali has had a tumor removed from his pituitary gland at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The article explains the procedure in the excerpt below:

The tumor removed during a four-hour procedure on Wednesday led to the growth spurt that caused Singh to achieve a height of 7 feet, 1 inch and a weight of 347 pounds, according to UPMC neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon, who led the surgical team.

Maroon said Thursday the tumor causes a condition called acromegaly, which can be fatal if left untreated.

Khali is expected to recover within two to three months.

    That's what killed Andre.

Wonder why it took so long. It was obvious his growth wasn't natural

  • mathew30

its exactly what big show had done, and thats when he gained a lot of weight and wasnt as energetic as before.

so im gonna to guess kahli life is about to change big time

    • kbunyon

Actually, I heard Show say in an interview that he had the surgery when he was in high school. I will go back and check again (I think I still have it in my DVR, a small local interview), but I'm almost sure that's when Show had his surgery done.

im sorry why are you trying to correct my comment when i was in fact correct?, all i stated was that big show had the sam tumour removed. and therefore i stated whats likely going to know happen with kahlis health

He was only saying that Big Show had it done earlier in life so he didn’t gain all the weight right after that surgery. Calm down & relax man.

Get well Khali. Something that brought him fame and money is the same thing that could kill him

  • Nostaljack

I wish him well. Acromegaly isn't fun and it's kind of already gotten out of hand. Here's hoping it renders him able to lead a relatively normal life. He may not be well-liked in WWE circles but he deserves to live a happy, fulfilling life.

Khali cant move or wrestle like the others could. He cant bend his knees. So maybe now he will be better in wrestling??? I doubt it.

      Shallow much?

    • jose

This surgery isn't to help him wrestle better, it's to help him not die. Which is a little more important.

Only 347 pounds? At his height, with that much muscle mass, I'm shocked he isn't closer to 400.

  • Thumpa

He’s going to come back as a hugh flyer
