Three Names Being Discussed As The Next “Paul Heyman Guy”

There is currently a creative situation taking place in WWE where they are trying to determine the next “Paul Heyman Guy.”

One of the top candidates is Ryback, with many feeling he could benefit from Paul as a tutor and mouthpiece. There is also talk about it being someone new from developmental. However, we’re told with Curtis Axel “being kind of a dud so far,” it would make more sense if they went with a name the WWE audience is already familiar with.

Another name that Heyman is rumored to be in favor of aligning with is Big E Langston. The idea here is Big E would provide some muscle backing up Axel, while also giving him a the rub.

At this point the talks are all in the preliminary stages but the next step in the Punk/Heyman saga seems to be the introduction of a new “Paul Heyman Guy.”

    nvm

    I assume Corey Graves

    • Chris

      And you assume incorrectly…

      • Guy Landau

I sincerely hope you are wrong.

      • NYYANKEES

just talking about the NXT guy man. He fits as a Paul Heyman guy to a tee.

  • Chris

Ryback would be a decent option, if they can’t get Goldberg to work with him maybe they have an eventual turn from one side or the other and pit Ryback versus Lesnar similar to the current Punk/Lesnar storyline.

  • Xavier

I wouldn’t mind seeing Big E get that spot.

  • Guy Landau

Said it before and I’ll say it again, until maybe someone in WWE listens. Corey Graves should be the next Paul Heyman guy. It fits so well, with him being Heyman’s rebound from Punk, who clearly hurt him.

  • Elto Alexandrov

I say finally bring Kassius Ohno in.

    • CJ Blaze

I agree, Ohno does deserve to be called up

  • Harlie Boucher

Ryback really could use it. He’s pretty much doing nothing right now besides picking on little people, which is getting him no where. He needs someone like Paul in order to bring him back to relevance again.

Please dont be Ryback!!!! Please!!!! I like the idea of Big E Langston or Corey Graves anyone but Ryback!

I think Curtis Axel needs to get away from Heyman to be a star. To me a Paul Heyman guy needs to be different. Curtis Axel is a third Generation star. Zeb Coulter would have been a better choice. Heyman will only get his name recognized & that is it.

Three names? I must’ve missed one

    • jomo12

Three names as in three names ARE being discussed. The developmental guy is the third option with Big E and Ryback.

      • @Funkatastic The Mike McCarthy

        this comment made zero sense

  • Rus

I wouldn’t mind it being Ryback besides he is a lot like Brock, but my question to anyone who wants to answer is NXT worth watching now I stopped watching it years ago

    • Kerri

Yes, it is. I would highly suggest checking out the most recent show that had Sami Zayne (El Generico) vs Antonio Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli) in a 2 out 3 falls match. Quite Amazing!

  • Nostaljack

Big E. is such an obvious face. He has a tremendous sense of humor that WWE would be fools not to take advantage of at some point. I sincerely hope he doesn’t go with Heyman. If he can just get comfortable on the mic, he won’t need him.

  • Brad

    I’d rather see Matt Morgan
