Hey there guys, attended TNA's first show at Copps Coliseum last night. Great show by the way.
The opening bout was Suicide vs Eric Young. Young defeated Suicide by Pin.
*The crowd was anti Suicide and was cheering for Eric Young most of the match. But the crowd was mostly focused on booing referee Earl Hebner who received "You screwed Bret" chants throughout the whole night.
The next match was Angelina Love vs Taylor Wilde. Angelina won by pin. mix crowd response for both. The crowd was hot the entire night by the way.
Third bout was Homicide vs Consequences Creed. Homicide won by pin.
Fourth bout was AJ & Daniels vs Angle & Joe. Aj and Daniels won after Styles hit the Styles Clash on Angle. Crowd was cheering for everyone in the match. Mostly for Angle and AJ though.
Some point in the night Jeremy Borash asked the fans if they would like to see a PPV there sometime. The crowd gave a very positive response.
The fifth bout was Sheik Abdul Bashir vs Jay Lethal. Lethal won after hitting Bashir with the Macho Man style elbow drop from the top rope...OH YEAH!
The Main Event was Team 3D vs Beer Money, Inc for the TNA Tag Titles. This was the funniest match of the night. The crowd complety for Team 3D. The entire match was filled with the crowd cheering "WE WANT TABLES" "ECW DUB" and "You suck C@&*" chants directed towards Beer Money. Beer Money ended up in several sexual positions during the match. However they ended up winning after bashir interfered and gave a low blow to Buba Ray. Giving Beer Money the win by pin to retain the TNA Tag Titles. After the match Devon and Buba gave a 3-D to Bashir through a table.
When the show was over you could get a picture with the Dudleys in the ring for 20$. A good deal I say....Earl Hebner continued to haunted with "You screwed Bret" chants even when he was signing autographs after the show. The show was overall great and fun, much better than any WWE show I’ve been to. Thank to TNA for being great to the fans and letting us get into the ring and get autographs and pictures.
