TNA iMPACT! Opener:
We begin this week’s show with footage from earlier tonight outside the Impact Zone where Sting was fighting with James Mitchell, but Sting is not wearing his usual face paint. Sting sends him through guardrails and tables. Then he hits Mitchell with a trash can and chokes him with a chain. He tosses Mitchell in the trunk of his car. Mike Tenay tells us that a camera crew is following them.
Backstage:
Jeremy Borash is in the back and he is talking about the NWA World Tag Title match between Team 3D and the LAX, and Team 3D is walking by with Brother Runt. Runt says that it is not that big of a deal, but Devon grabs Runt by the collar and pushes him against the wall and tells him to shut up. Brother Ray asks Runt if he is serious. He says that they have been screwed over by other wrestlers and other promoters. They have been screwed over by people who claimed to be their friends for ten years and then get stabbed in their backs. They have never been screwed over by family. They had the tag titles won, but Runt cost them the titles. He tells Runt to stay out of the way and out of their business because the last time that he screws up, it will be his last. Devon tells Runt to sit and stay.

Backstage:
Jeremy Borash is in the back and he sees Abyss throwing a tantrum as he tosses chairs and breaks a table. We go to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and Gail Kim and Jacqueline are fighting in the bathroom. Gail slaps Jacqueline but then Jacqueline fights back as security comes into the bathroom to separate the women.
In the arena:
Don and Mike are at ringside and Mike talks about Christian Cage winning the NWA World Title and that his opponent at Against All Odds will be Kurt Angle. Don talks about how there was a lot of involvement from the women at Final Resolution. In addition to Jacqueline and Gail Kim, there was Christy Hemme who came out to defend all women in wrestling against the Voodoo Kin Mafia.
Christy Hemme:
We go to a sit down interview that Jeremy Borash conducted with Christy Hemme. He mentions that what happened on Sunday was a different side of Christy. We hear Christy’s comments from Sunday about Joanie Laurer. Jeremy wants to know what brought that out of Christy. Christy says that she came from another company and did everything that a good employee was supposed to do. She says that she would not lie down to get ahead and compromise the woman that she is. We go to Kip’s comments aimed at Christy from the pay per view. Jeremy points out that this is a different company, but it sounds like she has some serious issues. Christy says that women deserve respect and they do not have to lay down for anybody. Kip enters the interview area and he takes Jeremy’s seat. Kip asks Christy if she wants to be treated equal. Kip asks Christy if she knows about the ladder of success because before you go up, you have to go down. Christy yells at Kip, but Kip spills his food all over Christy. BG comes out and he gets between Kip and Christy.
In the arena:
We are back and Christian Cage comes to the ring and he has a mic. He says that he told everyone that the biggest star in TNA history would regain the biggest prize in this industry, the NWA World Heavyweight championship. It is like they say that there is no rest for the wicked. His first opponent at Against All Odds has already been announced. That opponent is none other than Kurt Angle. He can sit here all day and run through Angle’s laundry list. He is an Olympic Gold Medalist, shoot fighter, submission specialist, and the biggest asshole he ever met. Kurt Angle comes out to the ring and he has a mic too. Angle tells Christian he better watch who he is calling an asshole, especially when his bodyguard/life partner is not there to back him up. Angle cuts off Christian and says that for the next three weeks, he wants Christian to take the title belt home, shine it up, and take it to bed with him because at the pay per view, he is going to take the title from Christian and he is going to put the title on his mantle next to his Olympic gold medal. Angle spits in Christian’s face.
Christian tells Angle that is what makes them champions...confidence. What makes them different is that Christian knows how to channel his emotions, unlike Angle. In order to beat a guy like Kurt Angle, he needs to get inside Angle’s head to find out what makes him tick. Christian says that he has acquired the services of a consultant. It is someone who thinks just like Angle, wrestles just like Angle, and is intense just like Angle. This person cannot stand Angle. Angle says that he will bite and he asks who it is. Christian says that after Angle spits in his face, Angle expects to get an answer. Christian says that he is a nice guy and if Angle pays close attention, he will drop Angle a hint or two. Angle asks if it is Goldberg or Brock Lesnar. He says that it does not matter and if Christian is trying to press his buttons, it worked. Angle punches Christian and they battle in the ring until Angle hits a German suplex. Angle puts Christian in the ankle lock, but Christian is able to get out of the ring.
