From: Orlando, FL
Report By: Richard Trionfo of PWInsider.com
After Sunday night’s Against All Odds pay per view, it is time to start the build to the Destination X pay per view. Who will be the next man to face Christian Cage for the NWA World Heavyweight Title? Who will win the Gauntlet for the Gold to move one step closer to Christian Cage? Will Christian have any sort of protection in the gauntlet to have an easier night at the pay per view? What is next for Chris Sabin after his victory on Sunday over his mentor, Jerry Lynn? What is next for Team 3D and LAX? Will we see Bob Backlund on this week’s show? Will we see Kevin Nash this week? Will we hear from Christy Hemme after her ‘victory’ at the pay per view? What is next for Kurt Angle after he failed in his first attempt to win the NWA World Title? Will we learn anything more about the Elevation X match that was mentioned on the This Is TNA special on Monday night?
We start off tonight’s show with some highlights from this past Sunday’s Against All Odds pay per view.
We are live on tape from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Mike ‘TNA’ Tenay and Don ‘you have got to be kidding me’ West.
Scott Steiner comes to the ring and he has something to say. As Steiner comes to the ring, Tenay and West say that Kurt Angle was screwed on Sunday. Steiner says a month ago, Christian Cage gave him a call to find out if Scott knew how to beat Kurt Angle. Steiner says that it is sweet when a plan comes together. He did not figure that it would be that easy. He tells everyone why. In August he was negotiating his contract, but it all got put on the side when TNA was negotiating with a ‘big superstar’ who happened to be Kurt Angle. That left Steiner high and dry. Steiner wants to know what makes Kurt Angle so special, and then he wonders who Angle has beaten that Steiner has not already beaten. Steiner mentions John Cena and Batista as people that he has beaten. Then he says that it does not matter how many times Triple H had to sleep with the boss’s daughter, he beat him. Steiner says that he knows that he is better than Angle because Kurt’s wife keeps calling him. She calls him to be with a real man and she wants satisfaction from a genetic freak. Steiner tells Angle to stop his bitch from calling, and that brings out Kurt Angle.
Angle says that he does not know Scott Steiner very well, but he knows that Steiner has the reputation for being one of the most self-centered, egomaniac, sons of bitches in the business. Angle asks Steiner if he thinks he came here for the money. He then says that he would kick Steiner’s butt for free. Angle says that he came to this company to do something big. He came to help build this company to go head to head with his former employer in years to come. He came to this company for the company. This locker room does not need any egomaniac bastards like Steiner. Steiner tells Angle to screw him and the company because Angle got what he wanted. Angle wants to know if Steiner wants to talk or do something about it. Steiner punches Angle, but Angle punches back and then Angle hits a German suplex. Angle puts Steiner in the ankle lock, but Christian comes to the ring. Christian tries to hit Angle with the belt, but Angle ducks and Angle hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex and Angle puts Christian in the ankle lock. Tomko comes out and Angle hits a German suplex on Tomko and tries to put Tomko in the ankle lock, but Steiner hits Angle from behind. Steiner, Christian, and Tomko triple team Angle, but Joe and many of the people from the locker room come out to make the save for Angle.
Angle gets on the mic and he tells Samoa Joe that they have been through hell and back. Angle says that he promised Joe a title match. Joe will get a title shot in the gauntlet match, but Joe will have to go through Angle. Angle and Joe shake hands.
After the standard opening graphics for the show, we return to the Impact Zone and we see the Elevation X apparatus being lowered. The towers lower to the floor.
We go to the back where Jeremy Borash is with the Latin American Exchange. Jeremy mentions that they won on Sunday, but he points out the controversial way that they won the match. Konnan says that Team 3D are going around talking smack about them. Is it because LAX beat them in their own match? They tell Team 3D to come find them. Konnan also says that TNA appears to be unhappy with what they did to Brother Ray’s uncle. Konnan says that they could give a damn what TNA thinks about them. He also points out that SpikeTV censored the attack, but then he wonders why they did not censor things when Team 3D attacked him. Konnan says that it does not matter if they try to curb their freedom of expression because at the end of the end of the day, that silence will come at a price. The Latino Nation grows stronger, prouder, and more violent every day. We go to commercial.
We are back and Leticia is in the locker room with Christian Cage, Tomko, and Scott Steiner. Christian says that he does not like this, and he says that TNA cannot stand the fact that Christian Cage has become bigger than this company. He tells Steiner that he needs him to be focused. He points out that way that TNA repays him for the biggest win of his career is to have a fourteen man gauntlet to determine the number one contender. It is fourteen against one, but then he thinks about it is really twelve on one. He says that it is good to have friends in times like this. He says that it is good to have friends and family. He tells Tomko and Steiner to eliminate everyone, starting with Joe and Angle. Then when it gets to them as the final two, they will stand in the center of the ring, shake hands, go over the top rope to the floor and forfeit the match. No pinfall means no winner and no title shot. That means that Christian is a happy champion. Christian asks for any suggestions. Steiner suggests that Christian shut the hell up. He is not going over the top rope for anybody because there is a title shot on the line. He says that everyone else is going over the top rope, including ‘that Redneck’ Tomko. Christian tries to get them to have a group hug, but Steiner leaves. Christian says that Steiner is a hot head. Christian tells Tomko that he is like a son to him. Tomko tells ‘dad’ that he has a match.
Match Number One: Latin American Exchange (Homicide and Hernandez [with Konnan and Machete]) versus Norman Smiley and Shark Boy
Homicide and Hernandez attack Smiley and Shark Boy as they choke both men. Smiley and Shark Boy with drop kicks, but Homicide with an Ace Cutter to Shark Boy followed by an overhead belly-to-belly throw by Smiley’s throat. Hernandez with a sit out power bomb and Homicide finishes off Shark Boy with a senton splash from the top turnbuckle and gets the three count.
Winner: Latin American Exchange
After the match, Team 3D appear on the video screen and want to know how LAX are doing. Brother Ray says that they are the guys who will not go away. He points out that at Against All Odds, LAX had to bring their punks from the barrio. This week, they made a phone call to their big cousin Steve. Steve says that he was sitting home in Brooklyn eating a meatball sandwich, drinking some white wine while watching LAX beat up his Uncle Nicky. He calls them animals and ‘cock-a-roaches’. He talks about how they walk around with rags on their head and wear cheap five cent jewelry. He says that he has his goombas and wise guys. Brother Ray says that next week, it will be done New York City style in a Belting Pot match. He tells LAX to bring their guys because they will have their guys and it will be a lumberjack match where everyone has belts. They will beat LAX down like the pieces of crap that they really are. Devon tells us to Testify.
Konnan gets on the mic and he says that Team 3D can bring the entire cast of the Sopranos, Goodfellas, and Emeril Lagasse; but at the end of the day, LAX will be all over Team 3D like a monkey on a cupcake or Team 3D on a medium pizza.
Don West talks about the situation surrounding Eric Young because he thought he was going to seal the deal with Ms. Brooks on Sunday, but he had the deal done to him. We see highlights of the footage that Alex Shelley showed during Against All Odds. We see Eric Young sign the contract only to see Traci leave with Robert Roode. We also see Robert Roode in the ring telling Eric that he owns him.
We see Eric Young and Traci Brooks in the back with Jeremy Borash. Eric cannot believe what happened between them because Traci said that she loved him. Traci laughs and calls Eric an idiot. She wonders who could love Eric because he is pathetic. She says that they played Eric like the idiot that he is. Traci asks Eric if a woman of her stature would be a man like Eric. Traci wonders why Eric is complaining, because he got what he wanted. He got screwed by Ms. Brooks. Robert Roode stops by and he tells Eric that he did not tell him that he could speak to Traci. Robert tells Eric to speak when spoken too. Roode tells Eric to take off the ‘Don’t Fire Eric’ shirt because he does not need it any more since he works for Roode. Roode tells Young that his job in the gauntlet match is to make sure that Robert Roode is victorious. After Young leaves, Borash asks Roode and Traci why they are doing that to Eric and Roode tells Jeremy to mind his own business. Roode claims that he could buy and sell Borash and then he tells Jeremy not to touch him.
Bob Backlund walks by as we go to commercial.
We are back with a video package of the Jacqueline/Gail Kim feud.
Gail Kim and Jacqueline Moore (with James Storm) come to the ring for an arm wrestling match. After a back and forth, Gail gets the victory. After the match, James Storm comes into the ring and he throws over the arm wrestling table. Gail punches Jackie with forearms followed by a spear. James Storm pulls Gail off Jacqueline and holds Gail for Jacqueline. Petey Williams comes out and he punches Storm. Jacqueline grabs Petey but Petey gets ready to punch Jacqueline but Storm hits Williams. Chris Harris comes into the ring from the crowd and Storm and Jacqueline leave the ring.
Leticia is with Chris Sabin in the back and Sabin is wearing his bathrobe while holding his ‘teeth’ in a glass and using his walker. Leticia points out to Sabin that there will be a five way ladder match next week to determine his opponent for Destination X. Sabin says something, but because his ‘teeth’ were not in, he could not be understood. Bob Backlund comes up to Sabin and tells Mr. Sabin (pronounced Sah-bin) that he was at the senior citizen luncheon in Connecticut last week and Sabin made a lot of people feel pretty bad. He says that he will be at the ladder match and he will hand pick someone to destroy Sabin.
It is time for the latest Paparazzi video and this week it is Paparazzi Idol. Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal enter a room and Kevin Nash, Big Fat Oily Guy, and So Cal Val are seated at a table as judges. Lethal sings Amazing Grace. Nash asks Lethal to do an impression of someone. Lethal does an impression of Randy Savage. Nash tells Lethal that he made it. We go to commercial.
We are back with Ron Killings doing a scene from Rocky VII looking for Adrian. Rocky and Adrian argue.
We see the Sting/Abyss/James Mitchell video package to recap what happened between these two men over the last few months.
Jim Cornette joins Don and Mike at the announce table.

The first two participants are Sting and A.J. Styles. Styles circles around Sting in the center of the ring and then he avoids locking up with Sting. Styles with a waist lock but Sting with an elbow. Rhino with a back elbow to Styles and then he presses A.J. over his head and drops him on the mat. We go to commercial.
We are back, but before we return to the action in the ring, we have a video package for Christopher Daniels. Daniels says that the truth is our finest moments occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in those such moments that we are likely to step out of our ruts to start searching for new ways or truer answers. He wonders what is his way and his answer.
The match continues and so far nobody has been eliminated During the commercial break, James Storm, Chris Sabin, and Kip James entered the match. We are about to get our seventh man in the match as Abyss joins the match. Abyss goes after Sting but Rhino stops Abyss. Abyss with a big boot to Rhino. Storm goes after Angle, but he charges at Angle by the ropes and Angle with a back body drop that sends Storm to the floor. Sting punches Abyss in the corner. The next entrant is Tomko. Tomko goes after Sting and punches him. Rhino tries for a power bomb, but Styles counters into a rana and both men hold on to the ropes. Tomko eliminates Styles and Rhino. Angle with a German suplex to Tomko. Styles chases Rhino around the ring and to the back. Samoa Joe is the next man into the match. Joe punches Kip, Abyss, and Tomko.
