Orlando, Florida

Report By: Richard Trionfo of PWInsider.com

TNA iMPACT! Opener:

Jeremy Borash is backstage and he reminds us that this is the final episode of Impact before Lockdown. Jeremy is interrupted by Konnan, Homicide, and Hernandez; and Konnan asks Jeremy if he is tight with Team 3D because he has a message for them. Konnan says that they have a big surprise for Team 3D tonight.

In the arena:

The members of Team Angle who have not won Olympic gold are in the ring waiting for their captain to arrive. Sting has a mic and he apologizes to Kurt for not returning his phone calls because he had to come to grips with a few personal problems. He realized that he is a wrestler and he loves TNA. He loves that he was asked to be a part of Team Angle because they have the War Machine, the Killer, the Shooter, and the Stinger. Sting points out that they are missing the fifth member so he would like to know who it is. Angle says that he respects Sting more than he will ever know, but he cannot announce the fifth member at this time. Angle says that there are a few things that he has to come to grips with before he can make that decision. Samoa Joe takes the mic and he tells Kurt Angle that he does not want to mince words around here and he says that he is starting not to believe Angle any more. Joe says that he is not someone to believe in conspiracy theories, but he points out that they are one man short and they are going into slaughter. Joe points out that Angle’s road to the title is a lot easier if Rhino, Sting, and he are not around. Joe tells Angle that they have all stepped up so it is time for Angle to step up and announce who the fifth member of the team is. Angle tells Joe that he better not question his integrity. Angle tells Joe that he swears on the American flag that there will be a fifth member of Team Angle and he promises that there will be five.

Non Title Match
Jay Lethal vs. Chris Sabin (c)

Kevin Nash is in the ring and he says that there will be many imposters, but there will only be one ‘Black Machismo’. Jay Lethal comes to the ring dressed like Randy Savage, including the fringe on the ring jacket and copies Savage’s mannerisms. Lethal gets on the mic and he lets out and Oh Yeah.

Lethal goes up top and he hits a double sledge to the head and gets a two count. Sabin begs for mercy and then he pokes Lethal in the eyes. He says that Team Angle and the rest of his team is probably happy. He comments that everyone has smiles on their faces and we pan over to A.J. Styles who has put on his ‘serious face’. Christian says that it went from bad to worse. Sting gets resurrected from the dead again and then Jim Cornette announces the stipulation that the winner of the fall gets the title match at Sacrifice. Christian wants to know why Jim Cornette is always trying to screw with him. A.J. tells Christian that this is business and it is all about this title. He says that is why everyone is here. He says that they need to focus on Lockdown because they have the numbers advantage because it is five-on-four. Christian asks A.J. how long it took him to memorize that because he is pointing out the obvious and wonders if A.J. didn’t think that he knew that already. A.J. and Christian argue before Christian says that if Angle does not already have a fifth man, he will not have one. Christian says that on the advice of A.J. Styles, they worry about tonight; then they worry about Lockdown. Scott Steiner says then he will worry about his title match before he leaves. Before Jeremy can say anything to Eric, Robert Roode and Traci Brooks come in and Roode tells Borash that he cannot talk to Eric Young unless he gets Robert Roode’s permission first. Roode and Brooks are joined by James Storm and Jackie Moore. Roode has a message for Petey Williams and he says that Lockdown can start tonight. James Storm pipes in and mentions the blindfold match at Lockdown. Roode tells Williams that he can be a friend to Eric Young, but on Sunday he will prove that it pays to be Roode.
