TNA iMPACT! Opener:
We start off with a look back at last week’s Impact when Booker T and Sharmell officially became members of the TNA roster after having their debut the previous Sunday on pay per view. We see Christian Cage confronting Booker. We also see highlights of the problems between Christian, A.J. Styles, and Tomko. We also see that Scott Hall is returning to the ring to team with Kevin Nash as well as Samoa Joe to face Kurt Angle, A.J. Styles, and Tomko. We see a video package that talks about the Thanksgiving traditions. It is now the TNA Turkey Bowl. Nine men will battle for the ultimate prize. We will see Abyss, A.J. Styles, Samoa Joe, Christian Cage, and Jay Lethal in this match. We are live on tape from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Don ‘Deal of the Day’ West and Mike ‘TNA’ Tenay.
Backstage:
We start off with our first of what will probably be many visits of the Angle Thanksgiving Feast. We see a turkey with a gold medal as well as a photo of Kurt Angle. Kurt and his wife Karen are dressed in traditional pilgrim gar while they are joined by their guests, Tomko, A.J. Styles, and Jeremy Borash. Angle thanks his wife for this set up. We the placemats which are two Kurt Angle promo photos put together. We also see a place set for Christian Cage. Kurt wants everyone to pray before eating. Tomko is asked to take his hat off and he wonders why Karen doesn’t have to take hers off. Angle prays and during the prayer we see Angle’s daughter, who he calls a brat at times. We see Karen and Jeremy making faces at each other during the prayer. Kurt is also thankful that Pacman Jones is not with them. Kurt is also thankful that the TNA writers are not on strike. Kurt also prays that God will be on their team at Turning Point when they face Fat Joe and the Over the Hillers. A.J. wants Angle to save one of the legs for Christian when he shows up.
Turkey Bowl First Round Match
Brother Devon vs. Abyss vs. Chris Sabin
The start:
Devon meets Sabin on the Ramp of Facial Impact and punches him before rolling Sabin into the ring. Devon with a back elbow and then he clotheslines Sabin over the top rope. Abyss finally comes out to his music and he punches Devon. Devon with a kick to Abyss but Abyss with a spinebuster. Abyss signals for a choke slam but Devon punches Abyss. Sabin with a springboard missile drop kick that appears to be targeting Devon misses when he moves out of the way but Abyss is in position to take it. Devon with a forearm to Sabin’s back and then Devon hits Abyss in the back of the leg before clotheslining Abyss over the top rope to the floor.
Mid-match notes:
Sabin with a rana to Devon but Sabin tries for a springboard move but he is met with a clothesline by Devon. Devon slams Sabin’s head in the corner and then he chokes Sabin. Devon knocks Abyss off the apron with a forearm. Devon with an Irish whip followed by a splash into the corner and a clothesline that flips Sabin. Devon knocks Abyss off the apron again. Devon chokes Sabin. Sabin avoids a clothesline and then he drives Devon’s head into the mat. Abyss finally makes it back into the ring and he punches Devon and Sabin. Abyss with a running splash into the corner on Devon followed by one to Sabin.
Abyss with a choke slam to Devon and then he tries to give one to Sabin but Sabin bites Abyss’s hand and then he hits a back kick. Sabin tries to get Abyss up for the Cradle Shock but he cannot get Abyss up. Abyss hits Shock Treatment on Sabin but before he can hit another move, Black Reign and Rellik come to the ring and attack Abyss. While the referee watches the attack by Rellik and Black Reign on the floor during the match, we see Rhino come to the ring to help Abyss. All four men fight to the back.
The Finish:
Back in the ring Devon misses a charge into the corner and Sabin hits a running boot into the corner. Sabin hits a tornado DDT for a two count. Sabin with the punches of ten Devon. From out of nowhere, Brother Ray comes into the ring and he tries to attack Sabin from behind, but Sabin avoids the attack. Sabin with an enzuigiri to Ray that knocks him out of the ring. Devon tries for an inverted suplex but Sabin gets out of the hold and gets the three count with a rollup.
Winner - Chris Sabin
Backstage:
We see the Scott Hall and Kevin Nash arrive at the Impact Zone and Nash wants to know where Kurt’s shindig is. Nash is told that it has just started. Hall asks Nash if he is hungry and Kevin says that he was in the mood for some dessert. We go to commercial.
Next Week:
We are back with a Booker T video that has a voice over that asks why did Booker T come to TNA. We will find out next week.
Backstage:
We return to a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving starring Kurt Angle. Kurt comments on the way the food tastes. There is a knock on the door and he invites his guests to enter and it is Robert Roode and Traci Brooks. Roode yells at Traci for trying to sit in his chair. There is another knock on the door as the next guests arrive and it is James Storm with beer and Jackie Moore. A.J. makes sure that Storm doesn’t sit in Christian’s seat. The next guest arrives and it is Chris Harris. Chris complains about the directions and he wonders if Kurt’s daughter wrote them. Chris wants to know what Roode is doing here. Harris sits down because he says that this is the only way that he is going to get some TV time. The next guest arrives and it is Eric Young. Kurt wants to know why Eric is there and he says that he was invited but Karen says that she did not invite him. Kurt says that Jeremy invited him and Kurt tells Eric to sit at the children’s table.
Turkey Bowl First Round Match
Johnny Devine vs. Kip James vs. Samoa Joe
The start:
Kip and Devine go after Joe but Joe punches them off and then he focuses on Devine with a head butt and snap mare. Joe with a chop followed by a kick and knee drop. Kip punches Joe and then he slams Joe’s head into the turnbuckles followed by punches and kicks. Joe with a reverse atomic drop but BG trips Joe. Devine with knees to Joe’s head. Kip with a knee drop of his own. Kip and Devine distract the referee to allow BG to punch Joe while he is in the ropes. Devine covers Joe but he can only get a near fall. Kip holds Joe while Devine punches him. Kip holds Joe up for a version of a Hart Attack on Joe. Devine covers Joe but Kip pulls him off. Kip covers Joe and Devine returns the favor.
The Finish:
Kip and Devine have some words to discuss strategy and Joe punches both men and hits a roaring elbow on Kip. Joe with a power slam to Devine. Joe with a running knee to Kip and then he sets up Kip for the muscle buster but BG grabs Joe’s leg. Kip with an elbow to Joe from the turnbuckles while the referee sends BG to the back. Kip tries to keep BG at ringside and he goes to the apron. Devine charges at Joe but Joe moves and he sends Devine into Kip who is knocked off the apron and he lands on BG. Joe with an enzuigiri and then he puts Devine on the turnbuckles for the muscle buster and Joe hits it and gets the three count.
Winner - Samoa Joe
Backstage:
We go to the back for more Turkey Talk Starring Kurt Angle and his wife Karen. The next guests arrive and it is Shark Boy with his Iron Mike Sharpe model neck brace, Petey Williams, and Sonjay Dutt to represent the X Division. Sonjay gives a flower to Karen and then he wonders how everyone can eat when there are starving children around the world. Sonjay asks for donations and Jeremy puts some turkey in the tambourine while Angle spits out his food into the tambourine. Storm wants to finish his contest with Eric Young and A.J. says that he needs to leave for his match. Kurt says that he feels sick. We go to commercial.
Turkey Bowl First Round Match
AJ Styles vs. Christian Cage vs. Jay Lethal
The start:
The match starts off as a one-on-one match with Lethal getting a series of rollups for near falls. Styles with a knee to Lethal followed by punches. Lethal avoids a charge in the corner and he hits a rana on Styles. Lethal slams Styles and then he goes to the apron and top turnbuckle for a double sledge for a near fall. Styles with a series of punches to Lethal. Lethal with a hip toss and cartwheel into a drop kick for a two count. Lethal with a running back elbow for another near fall. Styles with shoulders in the corner followed by an Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner when Lethal moves. Lethal with a side head lock.
Mid-match notes:
Styles with a chop to Lethal but Lethal with an elbow. Styles with a phenomenal drop kick. Christian Cage finally makes his way into the Impact Zone and he comes to the ring. Styles leaves the ring and Cage chases after him. We go to commercial. We are back and Lethal and Cage are in the ring as Lethal gets a near fall with a rollup. Christian with a clothesline for a near fall of his own. Christian with a kick to the midsection followed by a snap mare. Christian with a neck breaker for a near fall. We see A.J. Styles at the top of the Chute of Heelish Impact as he watches the match that he is a part of. Lethal punches Cage but Cage with a back body drop. Styles comes back into the Impact Zone and Christian leaves the ring and chases Styles to the back one more time.
Cage returns to the ring and Lethal gets an inside cradle for a two count. Christian chokes Lethal with his boot Christian with an Irish whip but he charges into a boot from Lethal and Lethal with a leg lariat from the turnbuckles. Lethal with jabs to Christian. Lethal with an Asai Moonsault for a near fall. Lethal with a series of running elbows to Cage’s head. Lethal goes over the top rope and he drops Cage’s throat across the rope. Lethal with a springboard missile drop kick for a near fall. Christian with a knee to Lethal’s midsection. Cage punches Lethal and connects with a head butt.
The Finish:
Cage throws Lethal over the top rope but Lethal lands on the apron. Cage catches Lethal when he comes back into the ring and Cage hits a gutbuster from a fireman’s carry position for a two count. Lethal hits the Lethal Combination and then he goes up top. A.J. returns to the ring and he knocks Lethal off the top turnbuckle. Christian hits the Unprettier and Styles hits a springboard frog splash. While Styles tries to talk to Christian, he gets the three count on Lethal.
Winner - AJ Styles
The Aftermath:
We see Styles and Cage talking from a distance and Christian tells A.J. that he will remember what just happened.
Backstage:
We return to A Very 90210 Thanksgiving starring Kurt and Karen Angle. Storm and Young are still drinking beer and the guests are still arriving. We see Black Reign and Rellik enter the festival hall. Black Reign has brought his own rat with him. Black Reign puts the rat on the table and Jeremy and Karen jump away from the table. Eric Young thinks that it is a cat but Roode tells him otherwise. Angle looks a bit squeamish as we go to commercial.
Back on iMPACT:
We are back and it is time for more Total Nonstop Angle: The Thanksgiving Edition. Young is now wearing Black Reign’s wig and the newest guests have arrived and it is Jay Lethal. Lethal wants to know where Okerlund and Heenan are. So Cal Val comes in after Lethal and Lethal shows that chivalry is not dead.
ODB vs. Velvet Sky vs. Angelina Love
ODB pulls Love out of the ring and throws her up the ramp. ODB gets in the ring and she clotheslines Velvet and punches her. Love hits a cross body from the top on ODB and punches ODB. Love with a tilt-a-whirl head scissors. Velvet with a chop to Love and ODB goes for a beverage while Love responds with some chops and forearms. Velvet with kicks to the leg followed by a DDT but ODB breaks up the cover. Velvet with a cross body but ODB catches her and hits a fallaway slam. Love with forearms to ODB but ODB with a knee and then she tries for a slam. Love sends ODB into Velvet who kicks ODB. Love hits a kick for a near fall. Velvet with a drop kick that sends Love out of the ring. ODB with a jawbreaker and then she slams Velvet’s head into the turnbuckle. ODB with a Louise Thesz Press from the turnbuckles for the three count.
Winner - ODB
Backstage:
We return to As the Angles Turn already in progress. Angle says that he wants to restore some order. Angle asks Borash if he has a turkey baster in his pants or if he is happy to see him. Borash hesitates as the guests are slightly shocked to see Borash pull a turkey baster out of his pants. Angle uses the baster to get some gravy as there is a loud knock at the door. Awesome Kong enters and Lethal says that he did not know that Kamala was coming. We go to commercial.
Triple X:
We are back with a Triple X promo. Daniels says that the day is upon us and the time for accounting is now. A time for hands to be raised and names to be taken. Who among you is righteous? He stands as the vessel of his will and wants to know who is worthy to stand by their side. None of those watching are righteous. All he sees are people who are weak and in fear and shame. He sees nothing but waste. That is the gospel according to the Fallen Angel.
Backstage:
Time for more Pilgrim’s Progress 2007 with Kurt and Karen. There is a knock on the door and Team 3D arrives. Team 3D has some food thrown at them. Ray wants to know what is going on since he was invited by Kurt. Everyone starts to leave. Kurt wants to know who invited them and Ray says that he got an invitation. Kurt tells them to eat what is left. They sit with Kurt’s daughter and Kurt tells her that they won’t eat her. Ray wants to know how she is doing and she says that they suck.
Turkey Bowl Finals
Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles vs. Chris Sabin
The start:
Styles punches Sabin but Styles is punched by Joe and then he is pinballed back and forth until Joe hits a back body drop on Styles. Sabin clotheslines Styles over the top rope to the floor. Sabin with a springboard arm drag to Joe but Joe responds with an arm drag out of a hip toss. Sabin and Joe each with leg sweeps but Joe tries for a kick and Sabin moves out of the way. Styles comes back into the ring but he misses Joe and Sabin and goes out of the ring to the other side. Sabin with a jumping back kick to Joe. Sabin with a suicide dive onto Styles and we go to commercial. We are back and Sabin with jabs to Styles but Styles hot shots Sabin. Styles with punches to Sabin and Joe returns to the ring and he punches Styles.
Mid-match notes:
Joe with a leg sweep to Styles and then Joe with a running back elbow to Joe and then he hits a jumping spin kick to Sabin. Joe tries for a suicide dive but Styles with a forearm to Joe from the apron. Styles with a drop kick to Joe and then he holds on to the ropes and hits a baseball slide on Sabin. Styles punches Joe but Joe with a kick and punches of his own. Styles with a phenomenal drop kick to Joe but Sabin with a springboard move that Styles appears to have countered, but Sabin rolls through and rolls up Styles for a two count. Styles with a punch to Sabin. Sabin with an abdominal stretch to Styles but Joe tries to take out both men but Sabin pushes Styles out of the way and then he puts an octopus on Joe into a sunset flip but Styles breaks up the cover. Styles punches Joe and tries for a suplex and hits it. Styles with a back breaker to Sabin. Styles returns to Joe and punches him followed by a snap mare and reverse chin lock. Sabin with a reverse chin lock on Styles and Joe hits a jawbreaker that takes both men down. We go to another commercial. We are back and Styles slaps Joe while Sabin waits in the opposite corner. Sabin with kicks to Styles and then he hits a tornado DDT that also hits Joe in the head but Sabin can only get a two count. Sabin punches Joe and Styles. Sabin with a running forearm to Styles in the corner. Sabin Irish whips Styles into Joe and Joe gets Styles up for a power slam. Sabin charges at Joe and Joe with a boot to Sabin. Joe runs Styles into Sabin’s chest in the corner and then hits a power slam for a two count. Joe with a reverse atomic drop to Styles followed by a running Yakuza Kick. Sabin is flapjacked onto Styles and Joe with a senton splash for a two count. Sabin and Joe with forearms.
Sabin with a back kick and then he tries to clothesline Joe over the top rope to the floor. Joe sends Sabin to the apron and then Sabin puts Joe leg in the rope and Sabin with a kick to Joe’s chest. Styles pulls a table out from under the ring. Styles pulls Sabin down when Sabin tries for a springboard move. Styles sends Sabin into the guardrail and then he tries to suplex Sabin through the table. Joe tries for a suicide dive but Styles and Sabin move out of the way and Joe goes through the table. We go to yet another commercial. We are back and Styles with a neck breaker to Sabin for a two count. Styles with a brainbuster to Sabin for a two count. Styles yells at the referee about the count and the referee warns Styles. Joe is outside the ring as he tries to get back to his feet. Styles with forearms to Sabin but Sabin with a modified Ace Cutter. Sabin with a running boot into the corner and then Sabin with a springboard clothesline but he can only get a two count. Sabin with an enzuigiri and he sets for the Cradle Shock. Styles counters with a sunset flip and he rolls through into a Styles Clash on Sabin but Joe makes the save at the last moment. Joe chops Styles and then hits an Irish whip. Joe charges into an elbow. Styles tries for the moonsault into an inverted DDT from the turnbuckles, but Joe catches Styles and hits the Island Driver but Sabin breaks up the cover.
The Finish:
Sabin with a roaring elbow and we have to go to even more commercials. We are back and Sabin hits a springboard tornado DDT. Sabin goes up top but Joe with a punch to the midsection. Joe and Sabin fight on the turnbuckles and Sabin pushes Joe to the mat. Styles pushes Joe into the ropes and that crotches Sabin on the top turnbuckle. Joe with a jumping spin kick and Sabin goes to the floor. Joe misses a clothesline but Styles hits the Pele Kick. Styles charges at Joe but Joe with an STO. Joe with the muscle buster to Styles for the three count.
Winner - Samoa Joe
The Aftermath:
As they pick up A.J. Styles to put on the turkey suit . . . we have to go to This Angle House: Turkey Time.
Backstage:
Angle says that nobody associated with him is going to be made to look like a turkey. Angle tells Tomko that it is time to go out the back. While they leave, we see Awesome Kong partake of some of the food. We return to the ring and the referees try to get A.J. to put on the turkey suit but A.J. refuses. We go to commercial with the announcement that Jim Cornette is coming to the ring too.
Backstage:
We are back to Kurt and Karen’s Thanksgiving Spectacular featuring Herman Menderchuk and Karen is showing everyone her pair of pies as Kevin Nash and Scott Hall enter the banquet room. Nash takes one pie and Hall takes the other and they both give them back to Karen in her face. Jay Lethal announces that there is going to be a food fight. There is pandemonium in the room while Kong continues to eat.
In the arena:
We go to the Impact Zone where Jim Cornette is on the mic and he is telling A.J. Styles that he has been the biggest turkey in TNA for a long time and he is going to prove it. Cornette tells Styles that he is not going to cheat the fans out seeing what they deserve to see. Cornette tells Styles that he is going to gobble up his guts and put that suit on. A.J. begs for mercy but Cornette will hear none of that because he has left the ringside area. A.J. starts to put on the turkey suit. Cornette threatens to fire Styles if he does not put the turkey suit on. Styles finally puts on the suit and Kurt Angle and Tomko come to the ring. Angle says that he has never been so humiliated in his life. Angle lets Styles know how humiliated he is to be standing next to a turkey. Styles tells Angle that Kurt doesn’t look like an Olympic Gold Medalist, but he looks like a pilgrim. Angle says that there is a big difference between a pilgrim and a turkey. Samoa Joe’s music plays and he comes out with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Joe tells everyone that whether it be a pilgrim or a turkey, they look like three jackasses to them. Angle says that he would rather be a jackass than a Samoan. Joe says that before the Kurt Angle Comedy Hour bombs some more, Joe suggests that they kick some ass. All six men battle with Tomko and Styles being thrown from the ring. Eric Young comes to the ring with a turkey leg while Hall holds Angle. Joe puts the turkey leg in Angle’s mouth as we go to credits.
