TNA iMPACT! Opener:
Jeremy Borash is outside Kurt Angle’s locker room and he says that Jim Cornette has sent him to get Kurt Angle. Borash knocks on the door but Angle tells him to go away. Borash enters the locker room and Kurt Angle is inside a tanning bed. Borash tries to get Angle’s attention and Angle tells Borash to tell Cornette that he knows where to find him. Angle tells Borash that he is busy and then he asks Jeremy if he was looking at his package. Angle tells Borash to tell Cornette that there is only one star in TNA and that is Kurt Angle. Angle wants to know why Borash would interrupt the only Olympic champion in TNA history and then he pulls down the tanning bed. Borash opens up the tanning bed and wants to make sure that he understands what Angle said and that he is too busy tanning to meet with Jim Cornette. Angle tells Borash to stop looking at his package. Angle says that this is part of his maintenance program to ‘be Kurt Angle’. Borash wants to ask Angle one more question about Joe’s announcement for Hard Justice. Angle says that Joe is going to turn himself in for robbing him of the Tag Titles.
Six Man Tag Team Match
Triple X vs. Seratonin
The start:
Skipper and Havok start things off but Daniels hits Havok from behind and while Skipper distracts the referee and the rest of Serotonin, Senshi and Daniels work over Havok in the corner. Daniels with knees to Havok followed by an STO. Martyr comes in but he is met with punches from Daniels. Raven hits Daniels in the back with the kendo stick and then Havok with a Lou Thesz Press.
Mid-match notes:
Havok gets Daniels up for a suplex and Martyr comes off the top turnbuckle to add impact to the move and he gets a two count. Martyr with knees to the head and then Raven chokes Daniels in the corner with a snot rag. Martyr slams Daniels and Havok tags in and hits a snap suplex. Raven tags in and he knees Daniels in the corner. Havok tags back in and he connects with a European uppercut. Martyr tags in and he knees Daniels. Skipper comes in and hits a spin kick that takes Martyr down. Senshi and Havok tag in. Senshi with a flying clothesline to Havok followed by a springboard spin kick to Martyr. Raven comes in and he connects with a knee lift to Senshi. Senshi misses a Shining Wizard but responds with a kick to the back of the head.
The Finish:
Havok gets Senshi on his shoulders but Skipper with a back kick. Raven takes Skipper down but Daniels sends Raven over the top rope to the floor with a kick. Daniels with an uranage on Havok and then Skipper hits a leg drop from the top rope followed by a BME from Daniels and the double stomp from Senshi for the three count.
Winners - Triple X
The Aftermath:
After the match, Frankie Kazarian comes to the ring and he hits Havok and Martyr with the kendo stick. Raven hits Kazarian with the kendo stick and then the two men battle. Havok and Martyr make it a three-on-one situation but Kazarian is able to get out of the ring.
Backstage:
Jeremy Borash is back in Kurt Angle’s locker room and Angle is still in the tanning bed. Jeremy opens the tanning bed and Angle has turned over. Angle wants to know if Borash was looking at his ass. Borash tells Angle that Cornette will fine him ten thousand dollars if Angle does not meet with him. Angle says that he will meet with Cornette. Angle gets out of the tanning bed and he wants to know where his suit, titles, and underwear went. Angle wants to know if Borash is wearing his underwear and then Jeremy tells us his preference in underwear. Angle says that he is going to find out who messed with him and he is going to mess with them. We go to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and Leticia is in the locker room with Christian Cage, A.J. Styles, James Storm, Jackie Moore, and Tomko. Leticia asks Christian about the revenge match later tonight. Christian says that the same thing that happened at Victory Road is going to happen tonight when he pins Chris Harris in the ring. Christian wonders how many chances Harris will get. Leticia points out that Dustin Rhodes had something to do with that. Christian says that he is the champ and he never asks for help from anybody. Tonight, somebody has his back and that man is James Storm. Storm says something that only A.J. appeared to understand. Christian says that he did not know that A.J. spoke Spanish and A.J. tells Christian that it wasn’t Spanish and that Storm said that after they win tonight everyone is going to go out drinking. Everyone leaves the locker room but Tomko is the last to leave and he says that this is ridiculous.
In the arena:
We go to Don and Mike and they talk about the revenge match later tonight. Mike says that it was a unique tag team. Don starts to talk about the match, but Team 3D comes out and they tell Tenay and West to shut up. Brother Ray says that he has something to say. They know that the Steiners are not in the Impact Zone tonight but they know that the Steiners are watching. At Victory Road, the Steiners ruined their night. They ruined what could have been one of the greatest nights in Team 3D history. They could have become the Heavyweight or X Division champions, but the Steiner cost them their tag titles. Brother Ray says that they demand the Steiner appear next week. Brother Ray says that he wants to see if Scott Steiner has the nuts to get over his little injury to face them man to man. Mike brings up that Scott suffered a major injury in Puerto Rico and he wonders how Brother Ray can call that ‘a little injury’. Brother Devon chokes Tenay and Brother Ray says that if Tenay does not keep his mouth shut, he will have ‘a little injury’. Don tries to be the peacemaker but Brother Ray grabs Don and security comes out.
Backstage:
We return to the ‘Search for Kurt Angle’s Stuff’ and Jeremy Borash and Kurt Angle are walking in the hallway. Angle stops a woman in the hall and asks her if she has seen his stuff. Angle wants to know if she has ever seen a guy in his underwear. Angle goes into a room with a ‘TNA Talent’ sign on the door. We go to commercial with Angle saying that this is going to be fun.
Backstage:
We are back and Kurt Angle is holding a meeting in the locker room. He says that somebody crossed Kurt Angle. He says that someone stole his Armani suit, his titles, and his underwear. Angle says that is pretty sick. Angle says that when he looks around he sees a lot of opening carders, mid-carders, and main event wannabes. If you are going to steal, stealing is wrong. He sees potential truck drivers, potential 7-Eleven workers. What he does not see is his suit, his titles, and his underwear. He wants them right now and if he does not get them, there will be hell to pay. Angle sees Shark Boy and wants to know what he is smiling at. Angle punches Shark Boy and hits him with European uppercuts.
Lance Hoyt vs. Kip James
Before our next match we see footage of the Voodoo Kin Mafia/Basham and Damaja match from Victory Road along with Roxxi Laveaux’s debut and her Dominator on Christy Hemme after the match. BG James joins Don and Mike at the announce table for the next match.
The start:
Hoyt has some words for Kip and he punches Kip. Hoyt kicks Kip but Kip with a side head lock. Kip tries for a shoulder tackle but Hoyt stays on his feet. Hoyt tells Kip to try again but Hoyt hits a back elbow. Kip hits a drop kick and Hoyt goes outside. Kip slams Hoyt’s head into the apron but Hoyt Irish whips Kip into the ring post. Hoyt returns Kip to the ring.
The Finish:
Hoyt with a boot to the back of Kip’s head and then he punches Kip for a near fall. Hoyt misses a clothesline and elbow but Kip does not miss with a Lou Thesz Press. Kip with an elbow to Hoyt’s head for a two count. Kip misses a splash into the corner but Hoyt misses with a boot. Kip with a Fameasser for the three count.
Winner - Kip James
The Aftermath:
After the match, Christy Hemme tries for a low blow to Kip but Kip blocks it. Kip holds Christy for Roxxi and Roxxi with a Dominator.
Backstage:
Leticia is in the interview area with Samoa Joe and she asks Joe about his big announcement. Joe says that he will make the biggest challenge in TNA and it involves one person. Joe tells Leticia that she will have to wait just like everyone else. We go to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and Kurt Angle is standing on the table in a production meeting. He says that he brought everyone here for one reason. He says that he will not hesitate to beat up a producer, a director, a camera man, a grip, or any other crew member. When you cross Kurt Angle there is going to be hell to pay. Angle says that he knows that the blue collar workers don’t make that much money so they can get a lot of money for his titles and Armani suit. He says that stealing is wrong and that is what Samoa Joe did. Angle gives everyone until the count of ten to get his stuff back. Angle starts to count and one of the guys gets up and leaves but Angle hits him with a double sledge and then he slams his head into the wall. Angle gives him a European uppercut.
Christian Cage and James Storm vs. Rhino and Chris Harris
We see footage from Sunday’s Rhino/James Storm match and Storm hitting Rhino with a beer bottle to win the match and Storm’s post match beer bath of Rhino. We also see footage from Sunday of Dustin Rhodes attacking Chris Harris during Harris’s match with Christian.
The start:
Harris goes after Cage at the start of the match with punches and chops. Christian with a kick but Harris with a Lou Thesz Press followed by punches to Cage. Rhino tags in and he punches Christian followed by a shoulder tackle. Rhino goes towards Storm in the corner, but he gets to the floor before Rhino can get his hands on him. Christian with a kick to Rhino followed by chops. Christian with an Irish whip but Rhino bounces out of the corner with a clothesline.
Mid-match notes:
Rhino tosses Christian in the air and gets a two count. Christian slams Rhino to the mat by the hair and Storm tags in. Rhino chases Storm out of the ring and that allows Christian to hit a clothesline from the apron onto Rhino after Storm passes by. Storm kicks Rhino on the floor while the referee keeps Harris from getting involved. We go to commercial. We are back and the action returns to the ring and Christian chops Rhino but Rhino punches back. Christian with a spinning heel kick for a two count. Christian chokes Rhino in the ropes and then he gets the referee to deal with Chris Harris and Storm punches Rhino followed by a running boot to Rhino’s head. Storm tags in and he punches and kicks Rhino.
Christian tags in and he bites Rhino’s forehead. Storm tags in and they both put Rhino on the top turnbuckle and they try for an electric chair superplex. Rhino rakes Storm’s eyes and then he hits a Doomsday Device on Christian. Harris tags in and he squares off with Storm. Harris punches Storm and then hits a flying clothesline. Christian with a kick but Harris with a bulldog and then he hits a full nelson slam to Storm for a two count. Christian punches Harris but Harris with a reverse atomic drop and then Rhino clotheslines Christian over the top rope to the floor. Harris with a running shoulder to Storm in the corner and Rhino with a belly-to-belly suplex.
The Finish:
Rhino sets for the GORE but Christian pulls him out of the ring. Harris with a running shoulder that sends Cage off the apron. Harris blocks a super kick and then he hits Catatonic on Storm but Tomko pulls the referee out of the ring before he can make the three count. Dustin Rhodes comes out and he hits Chris Harris in the back of the head with a chair. The referee returns to the ring in time to see the cover and makes the three count.
Winners - Christian Cage and James Storm
The Aftermath:
After the match, Rhino attacks Storm and Cage. Jackie Moore grabs Rhino’s hair but Rhino presses Jackie over his head. Tomko hits Rhino with a big boot. Christian tells Storm that it is time to celebrate in the ring and Storm gets a few beers as they toast their victory over Rhino. Abyss comes out to the ring and Christian and Storm leave the ring. Christian backs up the ramp but Sting emerges out of the Chute of Heelish Impact and he hits Tomko with the baseball bat and then he uses the bat low on Christian before bringing him back into the ring. Abyss punches Christian but Christian leaves the ring before Abyss can do anything else. Christian goes into the crowd and Abyss chases after him.
Backstage:
We go to Jeremy Borash who is with Jim Cornette and Kurt Angle. Jim tells Angle that he is as crazy as a rainbow trout in a car wash if he is going to allow Angle in the Impact Zone dressed like he is. Angle reminds Cornette that someone stole his suit and titles. Cornette gives Angle a robe and tells him to cover up. He also tells Angle that he wants his ten grand in his office by Monday. We go to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and we are in the backstage area of the Soundstage and Christian has Leticia with him as he is looking for A.J. so they can leave. Christian wants to know why Leticia is following him because there is no scoop. Christian wants to know where the car is and A.J. says that he has a truck. Christian wants to know where the truck is. Robert Roode and Traci Brooks happen to be in the backstage area and Roode tells Cage that he will take care of things with Abyss. A.J. stops Roode and says that he will take care of Abyss. Roode asks about Sting and Styles says that he will take care of Sting too. Roode and A.J. argue but Christian stops them and he tells Roode to find Tomko and figure things out while he leaves with A.J. They get into A.J.’s truck and are about to leave but Abyss appears in the back seat. Abyss chases Christian in the back.
In the arena:
Kurt Angle comes to the ring and he is wearing the bathrobe that Cornette gave him. Angle says that he has a sense of humor and he thinks that pranks are funny. He says that this was a good one. Stealing his clothes, title, and underwear was pretty funny. He has gone through the talent and the employees backstage but he cannot come up with his stuff. If anyone was going to steal his titles, Armani suit, and underwear, it would have to be one of the idiot fans who would sell his underwear on eBay for two thousand dollars. Angle says that if he has to slap the taste out of their mouths, he will do it. Angle demands his stuff back. Samoa Joe’s music plays and he comes out with all of the title belts as well as Kurt Angle’s clothing. Joe tells Kurt to calm down. Joe says that he is no thief. He came out here for one reason. That is to put the past nine months behind them. Joe says that they fought from pillar to post and that is why he wants to start the next chapter in the saga. Joe gives Angle his title belts back as well as his clothes. Joe says that they have gone head to head to find out who the best in the world really is. Judging by all of the gold in the ring, he says that you are looking at the two best wrestlers in the world today. Joe says that looking at the belts and knowing what kind of competitor Angle is, he suggests that they should let bygones be bygones. Joe proposes that they meet one more time at Hard Justice. Joe says the last time they did it for pride and respect. This time, they do it for all of the gold. Joe wants to know if Angle ‘is in or is he in’. Joe offers his hand and Angle thinks about it and shakes Joe’s hand. They hug and then Joe raises Angle’s hand. Joe with a headbutt to Angle and then he kicks Angle. Joe with a back elbow to Angle and Joe goes outside the ring and he brings a table into the ring. Joe puts the table up in the corner and then Joe sets for a running powerbomb through the table, but Angle gets out of the hold. Angle picks up Joe and sends Joe through the table. Angle puts Joe in the ankle lock and then he grapevines the leg. We go to credits.
