Orlando, Florida
Report By: Richard Trionfo of PWInsider.com
TNA iMPACT! Opener:
We go to footage from earlier tonight of Christian Cage entering the Impact Zone with A.J. Styles, Robert Roode, Tomko, and Traci Brooks. They are also accompanied by a number of men wearing ‘Cage Security’ shirts. Leticia interviews Cage and wants to know if he has been in hiding. Christian says that he was at Impact last week to do his job and perform at the highest level as he denies that he has been in hiding. He says that he wants to earn an honest buck and asks everyone if that is okay. Christian tells Tomko to pay attention and ‘stop playing with his toy belt’ because they have some real problems to deal with. Christian says that he walked into an unsafe work environment last week. That is why he got ‘Cage Security’. He says that they need to protect the top stars. This is the result of two guys, Sting and Abyss. He tells Robert Roode and A.J. Styles that tonight they are going to step up and take the spotlight to become the superstars that they can be. He tells them that not only are they going to beat Sting and Abyss in their matches; they are going to take them out. If they don’t, he will hold them both responsible. Roode and A.J. say that everything will be alright as Christian leaves. Tomko leaves as well. Roode tells A.J. that Robert Roode is going to hold up his end of the bargain and he wonders if A.J. will.
No Disqualification Match
Robert Roode vs. Sting
The start:
Roode attacks Sting before the bell and he kicks Sting in the ropes. Roode tries to slam Sting’s head into the turnbuckles, but Sting blocks it and sting punches Roode and slams Roode’s head into the turnbuckles and uses all of the buckles in one corner. Roode goes outside to regroup but Sting follows after Roode. Sting Irish whips Roode into the guardrails and then he sends Roode into the ring steps.
Mid-match notes:
Sting goes after Traci Brooks and that distraction allows Roode to connect with a knee to the midsection when Sting returns his attention to his opponent in this match. Roode tries for a piledriver on the ramp but Sting with a back body drop onto the ramp. Traci checks on Roode and then Roode uses Brooks as a human shield when Sting comes after him. Roode pushes Brooks at Sting and then he gets a chair. Sting thinks that Roode is going to hit Traci with the chair so he turns into the chair shot. Roode hits Sting one more time in the back.
Roode rolls Sting back into the ring and then he comes off the top turnbuckle with a flying clothesline and gets a two count. Roode rakes Sting’s eyes. Eric Young comes to ringside wearing Sting’s face paint to give moral support for Sting and we go to commercial. We are back and Roode runs Sting into the turnbuckles and chopping Sting. Sting feels none of the chops or punches and then Traci gets on the apron and she slaps Sting. Sting screams and scares Brooks off the apron to the floor. Sting with a big boot to Roode followed by a back body drop and reverse atomic drop.
The Finish:
Sting with clotheslines and a Stinger Splash. Sting tries for another one but Roode moves out of the way but Sting is able to stop short of the turnbuckle. Sting tries for the Scorpion Death Lock but Roode pushes Sting out of the hold. Roode hits a spinebuster but he can only get a two count. Roode tells Brooks to get him a chair. Roode gets ready to use it but Eric Young takes the chair and Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop for the three count.
Winner - Sting
The Aftermath:
After the match, Eric Young celebrates in the ring with Sting while Robert Roode yells at Traci Brooks while they go to the back.
Dustin Rhodes:
We go to an interview that Mike Tenay did with Dustin Rhodes. Dustin talks about Goldust and he says that nobody will forget that character and he says that he pulled it off. He was that character and that entertainer. He did what he did to Chris Harris for a reason. Chris Harris was running his mouth. He says that Chris Harris is not ready to be at the top. Rhodes says that Harris is trying to steal somebody’s spot and it was his spot. Rhodes says that since he was four years old, there was a side of him that nobody has seen and nobody wants to see. That side wants to come out. He says that he has had his split personality and it is coming out. He says that it is time. Mike says that he has never seen anyone have an emotional breakdown like he did with Dustin Rhodes.
Kurt Angle:
We go to footage from Kurt Angle’s visit to his psychiatrist. Angle says that it all started when he was growing up in Pittsburgh. He says that it was no secret that his mother loved him more than his other brothers and sisters. He says that when he was three years old, everyone knew that he was going to be special. He was beating up every six year old on the block. He says that he was not a bully. He was just better than everybody else. His siblings were jealous of him and then he calls them losers. He says that his sister got a job at an orphanage and calls her a big loser. He wonders how small her paycheck was. There comes a time in your life when you need to make a decision. Do you want to wear Armani suits or do you want to help orphans? Angle says that he chooses to wear Armani suits. He says let someone else watch those spoiled brats. We are told that it will be continued as we go to commercial.
Back on IMPACT!:
We are back and Kurt is still with his psychiatrist. He says that it got worse in high school because he excelled at everything, including football, baseball, basketball, and especially wrestling. The girls wanted him, not the skanks like the ones who come to watch him wrestle in the Impact Zone. They all wanted to get in his pants. The ’36-24-36’ girls. He says that he is an Olympic gold medalist and his wife knows that it is an honor and a privilege to be Mrs. Kurt Angle. He says that his kids know that too. If they don’t live up to his standards, they’re going right out the door. Maybe he will send them to the orphanage where his sister works.

Sabin with an Irish whip and running boot into the corner. Sabin puts Homicide on the top turnbuckle for a superplex but Homicide sends Sabin onto Hernandez’s shoulder and Homicide hits the Ace Cutter for the three count.
Winners - The Latin-American Exchange
The Aftermath:
After the match, Team 3D come to the ring. Brother Ray wants LAX to get out of the ring. Devon has a mic and says that this has nothing to do with LAX because they already beat their a**es and made them a couple of has beens. He says that he knows that the Steiners are in the building and they are not going to leave until they come out. We go to commercial.
Back on IMPACT!:
We are back and Brother Ray is now on the mic and he wants the Steiners to come out. The Steiners come to the ring. Scott tells Team 3D that they don’t call them out, but they call Team 3D out. Scott tells Brother Ray that he did not like the way that he was talking to the Puerto Ricans earlier because the Puerto Rican people and the Puerto Rican nation are his favorite people. On June 3rd in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was in the hospital and they saved his life. Brother Ray interrupts and he tells Brother Devon that in the ring with him are Big Poppa Pump and his ‘half-retarded’ brother Rick. Scott tells Brother Ray to shut up and let his thyroid to continue to spiral out of control and maybe he will gain a few more fat cells. He says that he never missed a match in his life and he would never miss a match against Team 3D. At Slammiversary, when they were supposed to be wrestling, he was fighting for something more important. That was his life. Two weeks before Slammiversary, he was wrestling in Puerto Rico and got kicked in the throat. That tore his trachea and he was taken to the hospital and he was told by the doctor that he had five hours to life. Scott says that being told that you are going to die is a humbling experience. He says that it scared the hell out of him. Scott wants to publicly thank the Puerto Rican doctors, nurses, and the people who showed their support.
Brother Ray says that the reason why Scott did not show up was because he knew that Team 3D was better than the Steiners were any day of the week. Brother Ray wonders if Scott is serious about the surgery and he looks for the scar on his throat. Brother Ray says that he thinks Scott is lying and that he is scared. Rick helps Scott take off his vest and shirt. Scott says that it is obvious to him that Brother Ray’s thyroid has burst and cut off oxygen to his brain. Scott says that although he got kicked in the throat, they cut through his lat and through his rib. They deflated his lung and sewed up his trachea that way. He says that is why he missed Slammiversary. It took him another five days to get home because he could not fly. Brother Ray wants to know if Scott couldn’t fly and couldn’t wrestle because of that ‘little scratch’. Back in ECW, that was nothing more than a paper cut and he calls Scott a ‘wussy’. Scott says that the more he is talking to Brother Ray, the more he wants to knock his teeth down his throat. Scott says that Team 3D never beat the Steiners. He tells Brother Ray to name a time and a place. Scott says that Team 3D was nothing more than Bingo Hall Champions while they were World Tag Team Champions for a real company, WCW.
Scott is interrupted by the Voodoo Kin Mafia’s music. BG says that he wonders if their invitation got lost in the mail. BG says that he came out for a history lesson because everyone else’s history is bass ackwards. The best tag team in professional wrestling history just got in the ring. When they were on top, the wrestling business was on top of the world and that ain’t no coincidence. Scott tells Kip and BG that they might have been on top in the WWF but what were they on top of? Scott says that it was a heap of crap. When they were tag team champions, the wrestling was at a high but that was because fans were watching WCW because they were kicking the WWF’s ass for eighty-two weeks in a row. As far as Team 3D is concerned, Scott tells them that their fat a**es should not even be in the ring with them. Brother Ray throws down his shirt and tells Scott to stop calling him fat. Scott says that he does not have a doctor’s permission to wrestle but he does not need an invitation to kick their ass. The Steiners go after Kip and BG but Team 3D helps out the Voodoo Kin Mafia. Brother Ray punches Rick while Kip and BG work over Scott. Team 3D gives Rick a 3D. Devon gets the Puerto Rican flag that was left in the ring after the last match, and they choke Rick with it while Scott watches. The Latin American Xchange come to the ring and they help the Steiners. We go to commercial.
Kurt Angle:
We are back and we return to Kurt Angle in his psychiatrist’s office. Kurt talks about his time in TNA. He wonders what he did to anyone here. All he did was beat some people up and give them more exposure than they ever had. He put them on the map. When you take the TNA out of Kurt Angle, he wonders what you have and he says you have a great Kurt Angle. When you take Kurt Angle out of TNA, you have an independent show that draws fifty people at most. He says that he is not trying to take all of the credit, but maybe he is. When you think of Kurt Angle, you think of Gandhi, George Washington, and Martin Luther King. Kurt says that he has a dream and that is that the whole world will come to respect, love, and honor Kurt Angle for the hero that he is. The camera pans back and Kurt is sitting in his tanning bed wearing his suit and he has been talking to Kevin Nash, who wants to know if he can get fifteen minutes in the tanning bed. Angle tells Nash to clean up when he is done.
No Disqualification Match

Abyss hits a running butt splash on Styles. Abyss presses Styles over his head but Abyss gets out of the hold before Abyss can send A.J. into the crowd.
Mid-match notes:
Abyss with a punch but when he charges at Abyss one more time, Abyss hip tosses A.J. to the floor. We go to commercial. We are back and A.J. punches Abyss in the head and there is a chair in the ring. A.J. kicks Abyss in the chest and hits an enzuigiri. We go to highlights from the commercial break of A.J. hitting Abyss with a chair while they fought in the bleachers and then we see Styles hit a cross body onto Abyss from the bleachers to the ringside area. Back to live on tape action and Styles has a chair wedged in the turnbuckles. Abyss gets Styles up for Shock Treatment but A.J. gets out of the hold. Abyss with a kick to Styles and then he sets for a power bomb but Styles with a sunset flip. Abyss catapults A.J. into the corner where the chair has been set up but A.J. lands on the ropes. Styles tries for a moonsault but Abyss moves out of the way and Abyss throws Styles into the chair in the corner and then Abyss hits Shock Treatment. Abyss can only get a two count. Abyss tries for the Black Hole Slam but Styles counters it and he sets for the Styles Clash.
Abyss is able to block the Styles Clash. Styles hits the Pele kick. Abyss sends Styles to the apron and he tries for a springboard move but Abyss catches Styles by the throat and hits a choke slam but he can only get a two count. Tomko walks to the ring to watch. Styles punches Abyss low and then he charges at Abyss but Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam. Tomko breaks up the cover and he punches Abyss. Tomko stomps on Abyss and then the lights go out. Sting appears in the ring and he punches Tomko and Styles. Sting kicks Tomko and punches him. Sting tells Abyss to get the tacks. Abyss goes under the ring to get the back of thumbtacks. Abyss is pulled under the ring by someone or something. Robert Roode comes to the ring and he punches Sting. A.J. pushes Roode off Sting and he punches Sting. All three men continue to attack Sting while Abyss remains under the ring. Abyss emerges from under the ring and he is bleeding. We cut to the top of the Ramp of Heelish Impact and we see Christian Cage with his ‘Cage Security’.
The Finish:
Christian comes to the ring and we see Abyss bleeding all over the floor. Christian pulls the bag into the ring and it is the bag of glass. Tomko choke slams Sting onto the glass. Roode and Styles bring Abyss into the ring. Tomko gets ready to choke slam Abyss but Christian stops him. Christian has A.J. get another bag from under the ring and it is the bag of thumbtacks. The thumbtacks are spread over the glass and Tomko choke slams Abyss on the tacks and Styles covers Abyss for the three count.
Winner - AJ Styles
The Aftermath:
After the match, we see the new Christian Coalition celebrate in the ring as we go to credits.
