Orlando, Florida

Report By: Richard Trionfo of PWInsider.com

TNA iMPACT! Opener:

Tonight’s show starts off with Samoa Joe walking in the back. We then go to footage from last week of Robert Roode’s failure to defeat Sting despite Christian Cage’s encouragement. We move to Kurt Angle’s comments as he talks to his ‘psychiatrist’. We move to footage of Abyss’s match against A.J. Styles and the carnage of Abyss being pulled under the ring, Sting being choke slammed onto pieces of broken glass, and Abyss being choke slammed onto glass and thumbtacks before A.J. Styles got the victory.

We are in Jim Cornette’s office and Jim has Christian Cage, Tomko, and A.J. Styles with him. Cornette wants Christian to look him in the eye and tell him that he had nothing to do with Abyss being pulled under the ring last week on Impact. Christian swears that he had nothing to do with it. He says that he came out to the ring last week because he was interested in what was going on in the ring, and he has no idea what Cornette keeps under the ring. Cornette asks Christian if he would rather climb a tree and tell a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth. Cornette says that they are going to sort things out and Christian and A.J. Styles will be wrestling Sting and Abyss in a ladder match. Christian says that he has an injured foot so he cannot climb a ladder. Cornette tells Christian that after tonight, he is going to be in an oxygen tent. Cornette also says that there will be a contract over the ring for a match between Abyss and Christian. If Christian or Styles win the match, they can tear up the contract and Christian will never have to wrestle Abyss again. However, if Sting or Abyss wins the match, then Christian will have to wrestle Abyss at Hard Justice and Abyss gets to pick the rules. Cornette closes the door and Christian, A.J. Styles, and Tomko are now in the hallway. Kurt Angle walks into the hallway and he is accompanied by his wife, who is holding Angle’s title belts and his daughter who is pulling Kurt’s bag. Kurt’s daughter drops the bag and Kurt yells at her and says that it is coming out of her allowance. They walk past and Christian asks if that is Angle’s wife. Jeremy Borash tells Christian that it is Kurt’s wife. Christian comments on her ‘belts’ and then says that maybe she can carry Tomko’s toy belt too. A.J. says that Kurt’s wife looked five and Jeremy told A.J. that the taller one was Angle’s wife and A.J. says that he knew that.

We are live on tape from Soundstage 21 at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Mike ‘TNA’ Tenay and Don ‘You have got to be kidding me’ West.
