TNA officials seem to be confident Jeff Hardy will be found "not guilty" on felony drug charges later this month as they have signed him to a contract. Hardy worked the January 4th Impact on a per-show deal but worked this week's TVs under a contract.
Hardy was telling people how happy he was to be in TNA last night and his significant other Beth Britt has formed a good friendship with TNA president Dixie Carter.
Furthermore Hardy is happy to be working with his good friend Shannon Moore (who signed a contract earlier this month with TNA as well). The feeling is Shane Helms will join them in TNA once his 90-day non compete clause expires from his WWE contract.
Hardy will stand trial on drug charges in his home state of North Carolina next week, March 17, 2010.
Richard Reacts: I guess if Jeff Hardy is found guilty TNA can always just release him although I'm not sure of the specifics of Hardy's TNA deal. It's amazing how WWE still had interest in Hardy just a couple of weeks ago and even talked about re-signing him to appear at Wrestlemania. He's now locked up but he still has quite the legal battle ahead of him.
