- Last month Jeff Wilen of the Daytona News-Journal spent several hours with Kevin Nash to put together a story. Today, Wilen posted several of Nash's comments on the Daytona News-Journal website. Nash talks about the formation of the NWO, his career highlights, and more. One of the more interesting quotes from the article was Nash's opinion of WWE vs. TNA, Nash said, "It's (WWE) a miserable existence. It really is. I should say was (now that he's in TNA)." He continued by mentioning Dixie Carter, "Dixie Carter and the people that run the company have a different philosophy. It's also just the working environment -- there's a lot less pressure. Our boss cares about the guys. She wants us to be healthy. And she feels if it evens the playing field, than nobody has an advantage and guys will live longer." - The estimated attendance for this past Sunday's TNA Lockdown pay-per-view is 5,500 paid. As noted several times that is a new attendance and box office record. When I get the official number I will post it here on the site.
- TNA Wrestling has released new t-shirts for AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, and Sting. All of the shirts have an Affliction influence which is similar to the new Triple H t-shirt that WWE released. You can check out the new shirts at this link.
Richard Reacts: I would definitely expect to see TNA run more events in the Northeastern United States. They did excellent while running a house show in New York City back in February and smashed the record with Sunday's pay-per-view in Lowell, MA. I think that makes it pretty obvious where TNA is going to look to hold future big events. Check out those new shirts, even if you don't buy them, the Affliction influence is cool.
