Kurt Angle did not work TNA's house show last night in Barre, Vermont due to an injury that he sustained while working a show in Korea over the weekend. Apparently Angle was dropped hard on his head, tweaking his brittle neck.
Angle was replaced in the main event at the Vermont show by AJ Styles who faced TNA Champion Samoa Joe in what was described to me as a very solid match.
As of this writing, Angle is still scheduled to work Sunday's Sacrifice pay-per-view in Orlando, Florida, although I would not expect him to work any of the weekend house shows.
We are still seeking live reports from last night's TNA house show in Barre, Vermont. If you attended please send us an email.
Ryan's Take: This is a very unfortunate situation, not only for the fans that attended but for Kurt Angle himself. It's a secret to no one that Angle has been working through pain in his back and neck but one can only wonder how many more hard bumps his surgically repaired neck can withstand. We'll be following this story throughout the weekend, be sure to join us Sunday for Sacrifice live coverage.
