The Pilot out of North Carolina ran an article on TNA Champion Jeff Hardy agreeing to enter a guilty plea on drug charges next month. Hardy is scheduled to enter the plea in the Superior Court of Moore County, North Carolina on the morning of January 20, 2011.
According to Hardy's lawyer, the plea is part of a plea agreement reached with Distract Attorney Maureen Krueger and will mean a plea of guilty to one or more of the drug charges he faces and includes a sentencing arrangement.
The plea will have to be approved by the court and the judge has the option to refuse to accept the plea arrangement because it includes a negotiated sentence.
Hardy was arrested in September 2009 after a tip to police led to a raid of his home which turned up more than 260 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma non-controlled prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
