Tons Of Impact In NYC Spoiler Notes – MVP’s Injury, Returns & Debuts, More

There were plenty of notes coming out of TNA’s first set of Impact Wrestling tapings from The Grand Ballroom at the Manhattan Center in New York City.

* MVP, who is currently out with a torn meniscus, “competed” in a tag team match with Kenny King against Eric Young and Bobby Roode in a bout that will air on July 17. He had limited physical involvement and was on crutches.

* Low-Ki made his return in a bout against DJ Zema Ion that will air on July 24th. We have a photo in our taping results at this link.

* The Great Muta appeared on the July 24th show and took out Robbie E. Oddly enough, he drew little reaction from the New York crowd. We also have a photo in our taping results at this link.

* Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy will challenge for the TNA Tag Team Championship at Thursday’s Destination X taping. TNA is already heavily promoting the match.

* Gene Snitsky and Ezekiel Jackson debuted with TNA at Wednesday’s tapings. King Mo also returned. Snitsky has been trying to get on with TNA for years and Jackson was recently let go by WWE. To find out how they were booked, read our taping results.

Oh good more WWE rejects, that’s going to save TNA from it’s eventual demise!

I don’t think everyone they let go was a reject. There were some good workers that just got left out. Come on give them a chance before we crap all over them.

I always liked Ezekiel Jackson. I think it’s difficult to push someone like him as a monster when you have people like Lesnar and Mark Henry around. Similar to Brodus Clay. I don’t have faith in TNA though. It’s too bad really that there is not a viable second option like there was with WCW. I do hope he does well.
