Triple H Says Bruno Sammartino’s Gripes About WWE Were Justified

Dot com has a new article online feature quotes from Bruno Sammartino and Triple H regarding Sammartino’s upcoming induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Below is an excerpt:

WWECLASSICS.COM: What are your thoughts on Bruno’s previous reluctance to be inducted?

TRIPLE H: Bruno has had his gripes about the company in the past and they were completely justified. But we’ve changed, we’ve grown and we’ve evolved as a company. We’ve evolved as a business. And I felt like if Bruno knew those things and was comfortable with those things, I felt like he would want to be involved. [Wrestling] is in your blood. It’s who you are. And it was important for me for a lot of reasons to have Bruno back with WWE.

  That’s the thing though their are fans of pro wrestling than their are fans of sports entertainment. The attitude era was a combo of both. Great work in the ring as performers and wrestlers and great mic work and acting as superstars of sports entertainment. We’re just coming full circle here folks.

I watched an interview Trip gave some time back (I think after adapting the short hair cut) about the future plans of the company and all. He has blended in well into the “business” prospect of WWE. I’m sure he’ll turn out to be a worthy successor to VKM…

  I still would have loved to see Shane McMahon take over for his father, as Vince did with his father but I will say that Trips has proved he will do a great job as a successor to Vince.

We’ve evolved as a business”…For the worse , Into stagnation , from Great , Entertaining Pro Wrestling to Lame-ass , Child-Catering PG Programming that sucks donkey balls !!! What a crock of shit , Triple H…Who is WWE trying to kid ?!? Anyways , glad to see Bruno being inducted into the HOF !!! But in all honesty , PW NEEDS stroylines and angles that will keep the fans watching , as the days of just wrestling are pretty much history !!!
