Update On Location For Wrestlemania 30

On November 15, 2012 we reported here on Richard’s Backstage Blog that the city of New Orleans had emerged as a potential host city for Wrestlemania 30 in 2014. One of the things WWE is attracted about having the show in “the Big Easy” is the fact it could include a significant tax credit from the US government.

Other cities that have been discussed include Detroit and Chicago. Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas was brought up but I believe is now out.

    www would never go back to msg for wm 30 because msg is too small. wwe makes millions in ticket revenue in stadiums and crowds of 65,000 plus always beat 20,000 msg fans any day.

    I think the Dallas option is only out because of the NCAA basketball tourney currently. I have a feeling that Vince will be jumping into Jerry's House as soon as that contract is over, which I think is around the time of 31 or 32. My big question is, is there any truth to the Orlando HoF deal where Mania would be here however many times every 10 years.

      You will never see it in L.A. again that’s why you get Summerslam every year. Vince is scared to put it in the giant dump cuz he knows 100,000 people will never go there (cowboys stadium that’s state of the art that’s where he wants it) Angels Stadium and Dodger Stadium are out to the seats are to far away for wrestling.

      Summerslam is in L.A. for the 5th year in a row. Maybe 2014 London Summerslam

    What they SHOULD have done was at WM 30 at MetLife. Keep the tradition of NYC theme going. Big screw up to have 29 there instead of 30. Whoever

      Metlife is in Jersey sorry the only way tradition would have kept going is if it was in Citi Field or Yankee Stadium.

      The building is in Jersey. AWA and NWA used to say they were going to NY when they were going to the Medowlands its still IN JERSEY. They might be called the NY Giants and NY Jets but they PLAY in the STATE OF JERSEY ASSCLOWN!!!!! It’s a ploy to get people from NY to go.

        I'm not quite sure what you were trying to say, but Vancouver has BC Place (a domed stadium) which would seat upwards of 65-70,000 with floor seats. I remember hearing Vancouver as a potential location, so I wonder if it's still in the mix at all.

            Pyro is not illegal in Canada!! We have concerts all the time with pyro. WWE just gets to cheap to actually use it. Why do we not see it on tv anymore??? Canada needs some more PPV and WM 30 would be perfect!!! Van hasn't had a WM and being from Toronto I would head west and see it.
