Progressing storylines forward from Royal Rumble and beyond, Roman Reigns is expected to feud with Braun Strowman in a stopgap program to a match against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 33. It would appear there are a change in plans for Reigns to challenge for the WWE Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 33 as it now looks as though it will be Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar competing for that title.
Goldberg is expected to feud with Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship, culminating with a main event match at WWE Fastlane in March. The plan of course is for him to defeat Owens for the title and defend it in a big Wrestlemania rematch against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 33.
The plan going back to before last night's Royal Rumble was for neither Owens nor AJ Styles to defend world titles at Wrestlemania 33.
No word on what happened to Reigns challenging for the title at Wrestlemania but the word coming out of Royal Rumble was that he’d be facing Strowman (Fastlane) and then The Undertaker (Wrestlemania 33). As for Goldberg, we’ve heard it’s Owens and then Lesnar.
