Video – Sami Zayn Pulls Off An Unbelievable Counter Off Neutralizer Attempt From Cesaro

If you missed NXT ArRIVAL on Thursday night, you need to make sure that you go out of your way to watch Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro and the NXT Women’s Championship match between Paige and Emma. Here, I want to show you one of the best counters I’ve ever seen.

Start the below video at the 1:10 mark and watch as Cesaro goes for the Neutralizer on Zayn and he counters with a sit-out powerbomb. You can watch directly at this link. The tape is embedded below:

    That was a great match.

  • Destroyer

That was kind of like “The Canadian Destroyer”.

Damn I gatta watch the whole match. Cesaro is awesome! And this proves he can work with anyone. I remember seeing him and Sin Cara do something similar to that counter. Can’t wait to see him as a main eventer. And can’t wait to see when Sami gets called up to the main roster

I’m not surprised. He’s an independent wrestler & you only see those kind of counters(and in-ring skill) from indie guys.

It’s actually called a Yoshi Tonic and it’s a move Mistico/Sin Cara uses quite a lot. It’s not new or groundbreaking.

    • batman

Yeah, Yoshi Tonic isn’t exactly new or surprising. Hell, not even new or surprising to Zayn’s set of moves. He’s used it at least twice in his run in NXT so far, and countless times as Generico. Picked it up from the great Super Shisa of Dragon Gate.

Nothing against the match itself, but I’ve seen what is basically the same counter many times. One guy goes for a pile driver or power bomb, the other guy flips up over top into a sunset flip. Kind of a letdown, actually, given the hype.
