Former WWE wrestlers Vito LoGrasso and Evan Singleton (who worked in developmental as Adam Mercer) have filed a potential class-action lawsuit against the company.
The suit, filed in federal court in Philadelphia, states as follows:
"Under the guise of providing entertainment, the WWE has, for decades, subjected its wrestlers to extreme physical brutality that it knew, or should have known, caused created latent conditions and long-term irreversible bodily damage, including brain damage,"
It’s stated that Singleton is disabled because of brain trauma he suffered while wrestling. The lawsuit states that Vito suffers from migraines, memory loss, depression and deafness after nearly a decade with WWE.
The lawsuit alleges that WWE is downplaying the seriousness of the head injuries and is discouraging Singleton from seeing a neurologist.
The suit seeks unspecified economic damages and medical monitoring.
