This blog reflects my subjective views and nothing more – It is by no means objective. If you disagree – which is encouraged – feel free to voice your opinion (in a civil manner) in the comments section. Let’s get some healthy debates going. Also, I am always open to constructive criticism of the writing format, phrasing, etc. Feel free to do your own rundown via the comment section in the future (writing little notes as you watch the shows could be very engaging and fun – give it a try and tell us via the comment section what you wound up with)
Hello everyone and welcome back to the WrestlingNewsWorld.com Weekly Rundown. This is your feature where you can read my thoughts of the week that was in the WWE. So without further ado, let’s get to the action with the Constants:
+ Daniel Bryan, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus and Wade Barrett are the future of WWE – they are all total packages, both in the ring and on the mic.
+ WWE’s video packages.
+ AJ, forever and always. This also leads nicely into:
– Matt “The Choice” Andrews. It’s a shame, really. I could like Matt… If only he’d leave AJ alone.
– The way announcing currently is in the WWE. In fact, the only announcer I can stand right now is Josh Mathews.
– Aksana’s cliché role that doesn’t seem to be really going anywhere.
– The way Divas are handled
And with that out of the way, let’s get to this week’s Posits!
+ Rock’s opening promo was awesome.
+Bryancan’t possibly stay heel now, with the “Yes! Yes! Yes!” becoming one of the best chants ever, and withBryan’s name being chanted throughout the night (even during Punk’s match).
+ The crowd was great throughout the night
+ I liked how they said Bloom (Tensai) was a former WWE superstar who went toJapan. Also – boy, did he look dominant!
+ Henry was ON against Punk. And boy, did they put him over.
+ “Albertoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo” Ricardo was really on for his return, wasn’t he?
+ LESNAR. IS. BACK.
+ It is important that Laurinaitis gets a theme, now that he’s a key figure on TV.
+ Kane vs. Orton was very good, with the beautiful RKO to top it off.
+ I don’t know Damien Sandow, but I REALLY love him. He seems to be a lot like me, for better and for worse… After further research, he is scaringly similar to me. He is most likely Jewish (his real name is Aaron Haddad, for God’s sake), and his finisher (at least during the time when he was Idol Stevens) is a “swinging snap neckbreaker” (thanks Wikipedia), whereas my finisher is a Cutthroat – you guessed it – swinging snap neckbreaker. After seeing some of his recent FCW work and seeing he has absolutely amazing psychology (and execution) I think I just found my new favorite non-main event wrestler to root for. Drew, I hope you don’t mind sharing.
+ Good to see Del Rio back, though the match was sort of underwhelming, same-old, same old. I’m hopingDel Riowill use the break he unwillingly recieved to vary up his staling act.
Now – no more Mr. Nice Guy (Landau). It’s time fore the Negs!
– When did Punk’s mother become a “combination of the two”? (the two being a drug addict and an alcoholic)
– I am really against WWE not capitalizing onBryan’s crowd reactions. I am all for him dumping AJ though, as now she can finally realize how wrong Bryan was for her and come to the arms of her future husband – Matt Andrews! I am of course kidding, consider this a late April Fools joke. Her future husband – Guy Landau.
– In what sort of logic is it smart to have Beth lose before Kharma returns?
And all that’s left is the Queschies:
? Abraham Washington’s RAW debut. I do not know how this is going to play out yet, but I’m willing to give it a shot. Except – is he going by just “AW” now?
? RyBack’s redebut was very underwhelming. So much so that I don’t know what to make of it. This Stevens fellow made more of an impact in my eyes.
? I hope Del Rio’s match would not come before Bryan’s guaranteed rematch.
? It sucks Drew wasn’t on, however if he’s injured you better take care of that. I just want to know where they are going to take him now that Laurinaitis is in charge!
Wow, this was a REALLY good week to follow up ‘Mania. RAW was the best it was in a couple of years (one neg, and it’s just a booking issue), and SD! had a lot happening in it as well. Plus, we got the debut of Damien Sandow, whom I swear is what I would be if my gimmick was myself turned up to the max.
