Looks like MVP just isn’t the ratings earner that TNA had hoped he would be. Maybe they should call me before they make big acquisitions. I could have told them to save their money because MVP wouldn’t increase their ratings at all. He has been off of TV here in the USA for far too long for him to have an impact on the ratings. Plus he was only an upper mid-carder, at best, when he was in the WWE. TNA would have been much better off putting the money they spent on bringing in MVP into resigning AJ Styles. Who was over more than he has ever been in his entire career when they let him go. Plus AJ is a familiar face and name that has consistantly been on US TV since MVP left WWE and went to Japan years ago. AJ should’ve been resigned, no matter the cost, and the company should have been built around him because he was so hot at the time. That whole angle with the long build up to AJ winning the title and then leaving with it had really gotten the TNA audience behind him even more than they already were. But instead it was nothing but a waste because they refused to buck up and sign him. If he was going to be their top guy. Then they should have been paying him top guy money. But TNA decided to be cheap and throw away what had been almost a year long investment in that AJ angle. That’s just bad business. Now MVP is supposed to come in out of nowhere and be thrown into that top spot? I like MVP, but that’s just not going to work…
