Will Chris Jericho Return To WWE?, Loved The Way The Streak Ended, Knows How CM Punk Feels

Chris Jericho did an interview with Digital Spy where he spoke about a number of topics. Among them, he confirmed talks with WWE in November about returning but said they ultimately couldn’t come together on a plan to bring him back. He said he wouldn’t have been interested in working the 30-man Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania XXX.

Jericho still has a good relationship with WWE and he could return if it worked for both parties.

Below are some other highlights:

His reaction to the streak ending:

“I loved it, I thought it was great. It was a legitimate shock, it got everybody talking. I think the right guy got it, if you’re going from a credibility standpoint, and if you’re going from a believability standpoint. As much as people and fans and journalists want to believe that it’s the case, I’m not sure if Undertaker had too many matches left in him. Maybe he doesn’t want to wrestle again. Maybe he knew that he couldn’t take any more.

The CM Punk question:

“I don’t know, man, who knows, right? That’s something that only he can answer for sure. To me, if he hasn’t come back already, then… I left the WWE for two-and-a-half years in 2005. The only difference was I left when my contract was up, but I disappeared too, because I just was over it. I couldn’t take it anymore, I wasn’t interested in being there, I was getting miserable, so I know how he feels.

I am so damn tired of reading “the only person who knows why cm punk left is him” and any variation of it.
My care factor about that human is at -3.6

Same here! The only cm punk news I care to here about . Is his return. Until then he’s irrelevant to me.

      weird #

was chosen at random to emphasise my lack of care about him

          haha, fair enough

When cm punk is officially back with wwe . Is when I will care about cm punk news . Until then please stop with the cm punk updates. If it was an actual update . I could understand . But this is something we have known since febuary . Until he’s back in the ring or talking about what actually happened. I could care less about cm punk. Still a fan . But this is getting old.

This is not an update. This is Chris Jericho talking in an interview. Stop trying to hate just because it’s the “cool” thing to do.

      • Steve pritchard

I can say what I want. If you don’t like it feel free to scroll down. No this isn’t news . Jericho said this before. Everything reported on cm punk is the same news we heard months ago.

        • NJB

It’s funny, the headline clearly says CM Punk related material will be in the article. Said material is something you clearly don’t care about, so why read it? You go out of your way to not only read it, but comment on it too. Take some of your own advice and don’t read it. Like I said, don’t hate just because it seems like the cool thing to do.

I loathe CM Punk news about nothing too but that’s not what this is. This was Richard mentioning the “Digital Spy” interview. That CM Punk came up isn’t Richard’s fault. I’m not sure CM Punk is a highlight but those ridiculous “CM Punk” chants, though much quieter, still exist so they must mean some still care.

      • Steve pritchard

Oh yeah there’s people still out there . That still hold on to hope he’s coming back. I’m still a punk fan myself. But he’s irrelevant to me until he returns . Jericho said this same shit a couple months back. So how is this news? All we hear is the same crap we heard months ago.

      • Steve pritchard

Btw . No one is blaming Richard . I’m speaking of all wrestling sites in general.
