World Title Match Added To Survivor Series, Langston vs. Axel Pulled, Hunico & Camacho

- John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship was added to the Survivor Series lineup at Tuesday night’s Smackdown taping. We broke the news of the title rematch here in our Backstage Raw notes. There are more pay-per-view plans revealed there as well.

- WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel vs. Big E Langston wasn’t taped for this week’s WWE Main Event as announced. I’ve heard Axel still has some injury concerns but he still worked this week’s Smackdown taping so he’s medically cleared. I haven’t heard why this one was pulled.

- Hunico & Camacho worked this week’s WWE Main Event taping against The Usos.

Richard, 99% of the time I love and agree with your coverage, but you didn’t “break” any news with the WHC match. Del Rio said it when he was at the announce table on Raw that he was going to have his rematch at the next PPV. I knew right then they’d have their match because the rest of the announce crew went silent for a second like he wasn’t supposed to mention that. Not trying to be a troll, just saying what I heard.

Dude. It really didn’t take a rocker scientist to work out that ADR would be challenging Cena. I think the majority of us worked this out the day Cena was announced to be working HIAC. We can hope Sandow gets slotted in but, and I mean no offence by this, one great match doesn’t make you a main event talent. Especially at a “big four” pay per view.

No you’re right, I’m not saying I was the first to find this out or anything, I’m just saying the way it’s worded being some sorta “breaking” news is funny to me. I’d like to see Sandow in the mix, eventually, but not at Survivor Series. I like seeing a heel chase the title, especially against the #1 babyface in the company.

As long at that match ends with Del Rio out of the title picture for the rest of his WWE career I’ll be happy
