Wrestlemania 31 Promotional Poster Features The Rock, Brock Lesnar & Batista

It looks like there are plans for The Rock, Brock Lesnar and Batista to be involved in major roles at Wrestlemania 31 next year. Levi’s Stadium, the venue of next year’s show, released the following promotional poster for the show:

You can view the poster on the Levi’s Stadium website at this link.

As we reported exclusively here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com, Vince McMahon currently desires to do The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar at the pay-per-view next year. However, there is already at least one other idea pitched. We have more at this link.

Wrestlemania 31 will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Obviously, we’ll have exclusive live play-by-play coverage here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.

Would it kill them to include guys that are actually around all year?

    • Bob’s Diner

      Apparently so…

    • Cory Zepperi

I know, not even Cena or Bryan, and I am not a Cena fan.

    • Trapdoor

Biggest show of the year: Lets put 3 guys who only turn up for the pay-check/to promote something, on the poster – Genius.

They might as well put a message up in the locker room, saying “Hey, all you guys (& girls) who are working your @r$e$ off & think ya’ getting a push”: Guess again.

Brock: I can understand this. They should of had him back by now, to cement his dominance, after defeating the streak.

Rock: I can kind of get him coming back, as (Vinces favorite cash-cow), but c’mon; Really?!’I know Rock wants to go up against Brock (& all Vince can see is $ signs), but each time he comes back, he just shows where Cena got his over-selling a hit/5 moves of doom from*.

Bootista: Why? Seriously!? I’m pretty sure I could find a stage hand with more charisma & in better shape, than Boretista, let alone those in the locker room.

      * Don’t get me wrong, I love The Rock as a performer, but he himself said how it’s time for the next generation to make their mark (& it’s their time) @ WM30.

Its because Hardcore fans that used to watch wwe like hell back then in the The Rock era and the Lesnar era are the ones who’s willing to buy some beer and order the ppv, Parents wont buy the Daniel and Cena kids that $70 ppv as much ah The Rock fans would, why you think they brought back Hogan for WM30? Because they know who’s paying

    • Splash

Wrestlemania is not for you, why would they put guys on there the iwc wants to see. They want the outside world to get the network, buy the PPV, buy the tickets.

Who is going to sell more to the casual fan?

      • Bob’s Diner

Guarantee The Rock vs Brock Lesnar wouldn’t bring in anything more than you would expect; the returning hype for both men wore off a couple of years ago. And as for Batista… well… yeah, he wasn’t exactly a selling point for WrestleMania this year

      • Mike McCarthy

I don’t recall telling you who I wanted on there, they’re selling 6 months subscriptions so why would people want to subscribe if the people advertised are only going to be on one show out of a total of 6 months? The WWE Network has flipped the script entirely, it’s no longer about selling one show. It’s about getting people to want to watch every single month, you don’t get that by advertising the guys who are only gonna be at the one show.

      • Mysterion

So WrestleMania isn’t for hardcore fans it’s just for casual fans? Is mixing the two a bad thing? Baring in mind previous posters have had about 8 guys on them it wouldn’t have been hard to slap Cena, Bryan, Bray and Reigns in the back there.

  • Craig

    Batista vs Brock for title!!!
Batista said he’s like to have an extended fued with Brock !!!

  • Zack

Hmmm idk which new slogan I’d rather hear from WWE about Mania. Either “WrestleMania a showcase of the Part-timers!” or “WrestleMania, watch all year long only to see someone different get the main event spot!”

    • John

I will never understand why this bothers wrestling fans so much! Why do you care if someone that works a part time schedule gets a main event spot at WrestleMania, or any other event for that matter? Seriously, who cares? Your a fan, you watch WWE to be entertained. I guarantee if WWE had Randy Orton vs. The Miz, two full time workers, in the main event of WrestleMania 31 you’d complain about it!

      • Zack

I have a problem with it because I don’t find the Rock or Brock Lesnar better some other guys on the roster. ESPECIALLY Lesnar. WWE just invests more into them, if they spent the same energy into building year round talent they would have a better main event scene. It’s more insulting ,to me, that I watch wrestlers work year round, invest time and emotion into their build, then don’t get their spot in the biggest event of the year. Imagine watching a superhero movie where the whole movie is built around one guy becoming this really big hero, then it turns out the final fight scene has nothing to do with that guy at all. That is how it feels to me. Also as a “smart fan” it bothers me a ton to watch wrestlers get passed over for a guy who only shows up one day of the year for a massive paycheck, then leave again.

      • Bob’s Diner

It bothers me the same way it bothers me when TNA bring in old WWE wrestlers to take the main event; as a company, they are basically telling their talent – and the fans – that no matter what they do, these other people that work less are and always will be more important.

      • Eddie Edwards

I completely agree. If people on the roster could actually get over they wouldn’t need to bring in part timers to headline the biggest show of the year.

      • Mysterion

You know why it pisses me off? I actually FEEL for the cats working their asses off have that opportunity. I’d be pissed off it I was overlooked for a promotion at work because Kevin the kid who takes out the bins on his one shift gives head to the boss better.

  • Xavier

I like the idea of a Reigns/Lesnar match 10000000000000x more then a Rock/Lesnar match. Rock’s my dude and all but he really has no business being on the card at all. I guess it makes sense fincially but from a creative stand point it makes none whatsoever. I feel like the last chance for Rock to face Lesnar sailed last year. Batista and Brock are already on the card and possibly Jericho, that’s more then enough part time talent (too much actually) IMHO.

    • opie

I just have a hard time imagining the build between two part-timers being great. I wouldn’t mind the match, though.

      • Bob’s Diner

They can repeat some of the skits from the HHH/Lesnar build and have Brock visit The Rock on a movie, only to find he isn’t there so he destroys the set! Oh how that would build so much tension!

        • Mysterion

Or repeat the Goldberg/Sid build up. Have rock crush Lesnars car and the like. ROOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK!

    • JR Texx (Jamie)

I don’t, Lesnar V Reigns? Lesnar shouldn’t really be booked to lose against someone who is up and coming, Lesnar jut beat the streak, no Reigns shouldn’t lose because like I said, he is still up and coming, I still think if Lesnar takes the WWE WHC to WM31, he should lose it to The Rock, then Reigns should win it from the The Rock, that way it won’t have much of an impact on Lesnar for losing, and it won’t effect The Rock so much on losing to Reigns, I just don’t think Lesnar and Reigns can afford to lose against each other considering the circumstances.

I think there is going to be alot of part timers for years to come.. can’t forget about HHH, Undertaker depending on his situation and if he is actually going to carry on.

But D.Bryan should be back by then, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns in a triple threat just to put all 3 of them on the card.. I mean it was originally a plan for them at one point, you have John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Uso’s, The Wyatt family, there are alot of good full time talent.. just depends on whether WWE uses them correctly.

  • Eddie Edwards

    Rock vs Roman Reigns

  • Bob’s Diner

From WrestleMania to the Network, this company astounds me with me its inability to try and focus on the future – they seem determined to sell people on the past instead.

  • Splat

They would all be blown up within the first five minutes and it would turn in to RestHoldMania.

  • Michael

When do tickets go on sale?

  • Ty

Apparently I’m in the anti-(anti-part timer) crowd.

  • JR Texx (Jamie)

Just out of curiosity, is that for Wrestlemania 31 or is it just for Wrestlemania in general.. because the play button makes me think of the WWE Network…
