Wrestlemania Returning To New Jersey?

The word out of Triple H visiting New York Giants practice yesterday is that he was in town to meet with city officials about holding either Wrestlemania 29 or Wrestlemania 30 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

I know an arena's a major step down, capacity-wise, from the venues that have hosted WrestleMania in recent years, but the 10-year installments of WrestleMania at Madison Square Garden is tradition! Tradition, I say!

As for WrestleMania 30 being in New Jersey, I can't see that. I can't see any 10-year anniversary of WrestleMania being held anywhere but Madison Square Garden.

would it be outdoors? it's crazy to think an April WWE event especially Mania in NJ outdoors. if it does happen i'd love it but damn it'll be chilly.

wwe is not going to put mania 30 in the garden because from a revenue standpoint it would be a huge loss.

mania is a stadium event now so wwe wants it in a stadium. they don't care about tradition anymore especially since wwe puts other ppvs at the garden each year.

plus, mania 30 will be the 10 year anniversary of benoit and eddie standing in the ring with the belts and wwe does not want to draw attention to the fact that both men are deceased from negative circumstances.

Its a bit cold to hold Wrestlemania in Jersey in April, would be better off with hosting Summerslam there.

Needless to say I would be perfectly ok with this. Especially if Giants Stadium gets it over Cowboys Stadium. Any smack in the face to a Jerry Jones is well deserved.
