I wonder if Punk will break kayfabe on twitter to say something (of course we know he's cool in real life but it would be nice)

    • Evon Reese

Haven't heard a word from Punk

When Cole reported that Jerry The King Lawler had a heart attack, I felt as if he was talking about a family member. That's the type of impact The King has had in many peoples lives. We hear and see him every week, he's pretty much a member of every wrestling fans family. I really hope is okay. Stay strong King. Can't wait to hear the news of your full recovery. You'll be in my prayers.

Michael cole took a step to the level of him Ross last night kept the show going with everybody knowing what was happening. The professionalism reminded me of when Owen passed away.

As far as Michael Cole (The Man) is concerned, he showed a great level of professionalism last night and he has earned my respect. I agree to the point where someone said that it felt like "He was talking about a family member." If you're in good graces with "the boys and girls in the back", the top brass AND the fans, you are family to WWE. So for that reason, I'm gonna lay off of hating Michael Cole for a little bit, and at the same time, I'm gonna continue to #PrayForJerry and I hope you will join me in doing so.

    Long Live The King!

  • “The Nightmare”

I met Jerry about 6 years ago on a whim when the WWE came to my town for a show. He has landed at the local airport and in true fashion of airport baggage handling lost his bags. I noticed him out of the corner of my eye walking through the store I work in looking for the sporting goods dept. I left a conversation in the middle of it to run over to meet/ask a childhood wrestling hero of mine if I could help. He kind of gave me the look of “Oh man, a mark!” but I assured him I was only there to help and if he wasn’t busy and in to much of a hurry afterwards would he sign an autograph. I helped “The King” but couldn’t find him knee pads or elbow pads for him to use in his match that night against Booker T. As we were looking for them we started talking a little and struck up a pretty good conversation about new stars and some of the ones from my past time as a local wrestling league ref and the ones he has been in the ring with. King was awesome to talk to, a guy you wouldn’t just having a beer with and pick his brain of wrestling history. At the end of the conversation I had totally forgot about the autograph until he himself mentioned it and proceeded to sign for me. He then shook my hand as I apologized for not having the items he needed and he thanked me for being a “crazed fan” with a little chuckle. One of the best and surprising meetings I’ve had with one of my personal wrestling favorites. My thoughts and prayers are with “The King”, his family, and the entire wrestling community. This is no doubt King’s greatest match right now and one he will win!
