WWE.com Goes Down, Twitter User Takes Credit

WWE.com was taken offline on Wednesday for around 45 minutes. There is a user on Twitter taking credit for the outage:

For what it’s worth it’s unclear what caused the outage, however, everything is up and running just fine as of this writing.

    I’m just speculating, but this is probably just a DoS attack, formally known as Denial of Service. The attacker sends too many requests to the server to the point where the server cannot respond to other requests anymore. It’s the simplest cyberattack out there.

    I guess Richard doesn’t know who the group Anonymous is. There are bigger things than WWE out there in reality unfortunately.

    ok, anonymous is such a giant organization of hackers, they dont need to “attack” the WWE website, if youve ever read about them, they target twitter, google, and big federal businesses… the WWE site has been down before, and as youve seen on this site (no offense Richard) sites just go down sometimes due to high bandwidth usage or just a simple server error, this dude is just trying to take credit for a mistake
