WWE has counted down their list of the Top 10 Matches of 2011. The matches are as follows:

The Undertaker vs. Triple H at Wrestlemania XXVIII
John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship at WWE Money in the Bank
Christian vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship at Over the Limit
Raw Elimination Chamber Match
John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio for the WWE Championship at WWE Raw
Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio in a ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules
2011 Royal Rumble Match
The Rock & John Cena vs. Awesome Truth at Survivor Series
Edge vs. Dolph Ziggler at Royal Rumble
Smackdown Money in the Bank Ladder match

I am all for Wrestlemania moments and I´m the last person who would dare to devaluate this years Undertakers match, but how can CM Punk causing Chicago to go apeshit crazy not be number one, given that the Taker/HHH match was kinda spot heavy and the 19-0 outcome was a safe bet…?

  No offense to Punk vs Cena, but I feel HHH vs Taker had more emotion riding, granted they had to do alot of finishers to get the crowd go crazy but still, its sport-entertainment.

You can tell this is a WWE made list. Because you would never see that many John Cena matches on a real listing of the top 10 matches of the year.

  Now you can say what you want about Cena.I don’t like his character myself.But Cena vs Punk and Cena vs Mysterio WERE good matches.Deal with it.

I would say Christian vs Orton at Summerslam was the better of their matches. Not sure John Cena vs Rey should be on that list in my opinion.

Cena is on there too much. Punk/Cena i won't detest but the Rock/Cena match was nothing to write home about.

Orton/Christian at Over the Limit is my pick for match of the year. Delighted to see it was given the nod ahead of the gimmick matches like SummerSlam and the steel cage match. Those were both fantastic, don't get me wrong, but I thought their OtL encounter was just about perfect.

Taker vs HHH wasnt that good bit overated cm punk vs cena is number 1 in my books and to many cena matches half of them wernt even that good

stop hating ppl ,cena is on it so many times bcuz he deverses it, but wat i will argue about is why there is only 1 orton match on it. i love cena, he is my fav but i ave to say orton is a better in ring worker than anybody else. i love his matches.

Cm punk and cena mitb by far! Everyone wanted it to go down like it did, no one expected it! Awesome!! The rock was great too I’d go with that, the only way hhh v taker should be match of the year is if taker had lost! Everyone knows he’s gonna win its mania, can’t take the streak away I get that but it kinda takes the edge off the match ,great match though!

I am shocked that Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes isn’t on there. It was the best WrestleMania match!
