WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View Main Event Announced (Updated With Challengers)

WWE announced in the opening segment o=of this week's episode of Monday Night Raw that next month's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will be headlined by Randy Orton defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the structure.

Orton will be challenged by John Cena, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan as they all three won honors by beating The Shield (albeit disqualification on The Wyatt Family attacking Cena) on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2014, from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We'll have exclusive live play-by-play coverage here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.

So I assume, they will add Lesnar, next week or at some point, so the question becomes who will be #6, I have to go with Roman Reigns, some way some how

    • Mysterion

Or, you could have patience and stair until Reigns is ready for a push. If he gets a main event push now, in Mania season, do you honestly think he’ll come out the other end still in the main event? Of course he won’t. He’ll get lost in the shuffle and spend 2014 floating in the mid card. Wait for more than three months before thinking someone should challenge for the WWE title. It took Shawn Michaels over ten years to get his main event push. Patience is a virtue.

This is true, but some people are just ready now and roman reigns seems to be ready now, where he falls after the push is up to him and how he works, I’m not saying he needs to be champ, but I would love to see him break from the shield and go his own way

        • Mysterion

Honestly, id rather see Shield vs Wyatt’s and have Reigns snap after a loss and whoop the hell into Ambrose and setup a match for Mania. Triple threat for the US Title.

I’m guessing Elimination Chamber will consist of Batista vs. Lesnar, Shield vs. Wyatts, and EC match with Orton, Cena, Sheamus, Bryan, Kane, and CM Punk. That would be one hell of a card with just those 3 matches!!

  • Venom

YES! YES! YES! So there is still hope that Jon Cena can win Elimination Chamber and still headline WrestleMania with his lovely new ring gear!

  • Mike

They have 3 faces in the chamber match so they now need 2 more heels to go with Randy Orton. I’m saying Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Elimination Chamber is going to be Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar. CM Punk vs. Kane. Leading to ‘Mania it’ll be Brock Lesnar vs. Batista for the WWE WHC. John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt. Undertaker vs. Daniel Bryan. I just don’t know where that leaves Randy Orton and CM Punk. Everyone is saying a CM Punk vs. Triple H match is on the cards but I just don’t see the benefit of Punk facing Triple H.

    • Venom

I don’t think a shield member will be in it. They already lost an oppurtunity. I also don’t see why Brock would want to be in it when he’s already in line for a title shot. Perhaps if they play off facing the champion at wrestlemania = more money then maybe Brock vs Batista in a title shot vs. title shot and winner headlines wrestlemania. At least if Batista wins it gives him credibility cause coming in at 28 and winning royal rumble is lame.

Of course if Brock loses said match it makes him vs undertaker less interesting.

I’m actually starting to lean to Bryan vs undertaker cause if undertaker can go like he did against Shawn michaels then it would be an exciting match. Personally I wasn’t into his match vs CM punk but that’s me.

With all the near falls and back and forth match undertaker can win and then raise Bryan’s hand to close the show. If undertaker can’t move like Shawn Michaels match then just go with Brock Lesnar which is more brawling.

SHield against Wyatts because they “stole” the win from them; this would be awesome
