Fourth Report: WWE Raw House Show Results (10/16/09) - Huntsville, Alabama
Written by Joseph Wright on Oct 18, 2009 - 1:04:20 PM
Wrestling News World reader Joseph Wright sent in the following report:
The show was a near sellout, maybe 50 or so cheapseats not sold.
Chris Masters vs Santino
Santino is waay over. Gets on the mic and says that he's the only MMA wrestler in the WWE. That's right, Marella Martial Arts. Santino gets the win via small package.
Jack Swagger vs Primo
They announce the winner of this match will be included in the U.S. Title match later. They should have never split Carlito & Primo up as Primo is now just a glorified Jobber. Swagger gets the via his finisher.
Evan Bourne vs Heath ?
Didn't catch his last name. Looked and moved a lot like Edge. Not a bad worker. Bourne gets the win via Shooting Star Press.
Chavo vs Shawn Micheals...oh uh Hornswoggle
Hornswoggle comes out in his DX gear. They then announce that Chavo must wear a blindfold for the match. Your usual Chavo/Swoggle match with Horny getting the win via Tadpol Splash.
Melina vs Jillian
How lucky was it for me that Melina switched brands on monday? Standard divas match with Melina winning via doing the splits on Jillian's neck.
The Miz vs Kofi Kingston vs Jack Swagger
The Miz continues to grow as a heel. Swagger botched his part of the go home. Kofi went for his spinning kick, missing Swagger by about a foot & a half. Not Kofi's fault as Swagger sold the kick before it got to him. It didn't go unnoticed as a trainer began to chew Swagger out as he lay there. The match ended seconds later as The Miz hit his finisher on Kofi for the win. A second trainer came down and talked to the ref who was standing in front of me, the ref told him exacty how Swagger botched the spot and the second trainer began to chew him out at ringside.
Randy Orton vs Cena
Not including the long entrances, this match went maybe six minutes before Legacy hit the ring and they triple teamed Cena until HHH made the save. Thus leading us to.....
HHH & Cena vs Randy Orton & Legacy
Both Cena and HHH took bumps. The match ended with Orton running out on Legacy and both Hunter and Cena hitting their finishers and pinning Ted & Cody at the same time.
As Cena left, HHH took the time to meet and greet the audience.
