Fourth Report: WWE Raw House Show Results (9/06/09) - Madison, Wisconsin

Written by Matt on Sep 7, 2009 - 10:26:36 AM

Wrestling News World reader Matt sent in the following report:

What a great (and unique) RAW house show!! The first half featured some people I didn't expect, but put on great matches!!

Match 1: Evan Bourne b. Chavo Guerrero
GREAT opener... lots of high flying moves.. Bourne got HUGE pops through the whole match I was impresseb.. end saw Hornswoggle come down and interfere while Bourne had the ref distracted.. Bourne hits the Shooting Star Press for the win.

Match 2: Chris Masters b. Alex Riley
Masters got heat... I wasn't paying much attention but he got Riley in the Masterlock for the win.

Match 3: Sheamus b. Santino Marella
Good back and forth match.. Santino looked pretty good in a 15 minute match.. Sheamus was too much tho, and pinned him with his finisher.

Match 4: Kelly Kelly and Gail Kim b. Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes
Pretty good diva match.. Kim and Phoenix had the best offense when they were together.. Kelly Kelly did the famasser on Mendes for the win.

Match 5: MVP v. Kofi Kingston v. The Miz for the US Title. (Kofi retains)
Miz got HUGE heat after bad mouthing Madison. Miz started out the match sitting in the front row drinking some guys beer while Kofi and MVP starteb. Good match with a lot of quick offense going from man to man. End saw Kofi hit his finishing move on The Miz, then after the match Kofi and MVP disposed of the Miz.

Intermission.

Match 6: Mark Henry b. Jack Swagger
Swagger did the best he could with Mark Henry.. Swagger got huge heat. I was very disappointed to see Henry win with the world's strongest slam, as Swagger is my favorite in the WWE right now.

Match 7: Triple H b. Legacy in a 2 on 1 handicap match.
Good match. Legacy said they are the future and DX will fade quicker than the glow sticks all the kids made their parents pay way too much money for. Triple H hit the Pedigree on Rhodes at the end to win.

Match 8: John Cena b. Randy Orton via DQ.
Roof blew off the place for Cena. Slow paced match until Cena got in his five knuckle shuffle and usual moves, then put Orton in the STF and Legacy came out to cause the DQ.. HHH made the save while Orton fled to the back and Legacy got beat up. Cena and HHH play up the crowd before the night ends.

Great house show.. a little different than normal.. seems like the first half had quite a few low-mid carders, more than usual.. Sheamus, Riley, Santino, Masters, and Bourne... but the second half delivered!
