Second Report: WWE Raw House Show Results (9/19/09) - Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada

Written by Adam Gallant on Sep 20, 2009 - 2:10:20 PM

Wrestling News World reader Adam Gallant sent the following:

I attended the RAW brand house show in Moncton, New Brunswick today, and here are the results:

1) Evan Bourne vs. Chavo GuerreroChavo is ready for the frog splash, and Hornswoggle comes from under the ring to distract Chavo, Bourne hits a kick, followed by the Shooting Star Press for the win.

2) Alex Riley vs. PrimoRiley cuts a short promo before the match in his high school jock gimmick, I missed all of this match because of being stuck in the merchandise line, but Primo picks up the win.

3) Santino Marella vs. Chris MastersAlso missed the opening of this match, Santino attempts to put Masters in the Masterlock, but Masters counters and locks his own in on Santino for the win. After the match, Santino tells Tony Chimel to announce to the crowd the he is okay!

4) United States Championship Triple Threat MatchKofi Kingston (C) vs. The Miz vs. Jack SwaggerMiz cuts a promo before the match, also has the title that he stole on RAW, and draws lots of heat. Great wrestling match all around, with Kofi picking up the win on Swagger after Trouble in Paradise, but Miz got away with the title belt. During the match, a fan was ejected for yelling inappropriate words towards Swagger, funny moment.

5) Alicia Fox vs. Rosa MendesRosa plays the face in this match, it was just the typical divas match, with Alicia picking up the win.

6) Tag Team MatchMVP and Mark Henry vs. LegacyLegacy stalls lots in this match, acting like cowards at many points, but one of the better matches of the night, with Legacy picking up the win after Dream Street by DiBiase on MVP.

7) WWE Championship MatchJohn Cena (C) vs. Randy OrtonOrton draws lots of heat from the crowd, Cena was about 60/40 with more cheering, mainly from children. Orton stayed in control for most of the match, but after missing a punt, Cena hits him with the Attitude Adjustment for the win. Following the match, Cena shakes hands with fans, and that is the end of the show.

Notes:
-Triple H was not in attendance, and fans were granted a refund if they wished.
-A few scattered WOO chants before the show started
-2 kids were taken into the ring to throw shirts into the crowd, and received some autographed Cena pictures.

Biggest Pops:
1) Cena
2) MVP/Henry
3) Bourne

Most Heat:
1) Orton
2) Legacy
3) The Miz

One of the better live shows I have been to, but it only lasted 2 hours.
