WWE Raw House Show Results (06/22/08) - Amarillo, Texas
Written by Dre on Jun 23, 2008 - 10:31:44 AM
Special thanks to WNW reader Dre for sending the following report:
Hey guys I attended the WWE Raw brand house show last night in Amarillo, Texas.
It started off with Maria hyping million dollar mania and going to the highest seats and giving away 4 front row tickets and $250 of Vince's cash to some fans.
Jeff Hardy b. Snitsky
Snitsky dominated most of the match but Hardy won with the Twist of Fate and the Swanton. Good match Hardy was good live.
Next Paul Burchill accompanied by Katie b. Hacksaw
Katie is so hot in person. Duggan still looked ok it's was good seeing him again. Last time I saw him was at the Nassau Coliseum back in the day.
Mr. Kennedy b. Charlie Haas
Kennedy did his pose in the ring reaching for the mic but the ring announcer just stood behind him and handed it over his head. Kennedy won. Good match from Kennedy's side; Haas was ok just seemed a few steps off. After Kennedy won with the mic check he announced himself the winner but before he did the 2nd Kennedy on the ropes he accidentally turned it off.
Cade b. Murdoch
Crowd was pretty much quiet throughout.
Ted Dibiase Jr. b. Super Crazy
Dibiase won after hitting the million dollar dream (he modified it to where he wrapped his legs around crazy's mid section). It should also be noted he came out to his father, Ted Dibiase Senior’s entrance music.
Rhodes and Holly (with some girl that won $250 of Vince's money) b. London and Kendrick London
Kendrick used heel tactics throughout the match. Holly used the Alabama slam on Kendrick when he tried a skin the cat.
Beth Pheonix b. Melina
The finisher looked absolutely horrible it was where she picked Melina up from behind by the arms and dropped her face first. Beth did not get her high enough and did not release Melina’s arms at all.
Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels
Chris Jericho came out with a huge pop. The crowd absolutely loved him. He cut a promo saying we would all be stupid to boo him. Shawn then came out and they proceeded to have a match. Unfortunately I was unable to see a lot of it because people infront of me were standing on their chairs. From what I saw, it was an excellent match but ended in no contest when Lance Cade came out, jumped on the ring apron, and was super kicked by HBK. Umaga also came running out.
Triple H vs. John Cena vs. Umaga
They had us text what we wanted the stipulation to be. It turned out to be a no DQ which I thought all triple threats were anyway but I tried for the falls count anywhere. It was really Triple H Vs. Umaga match as Cena was out of the ring a lot of the match. I mean seriously he could have taken power naps he was out so long. Cena gave Umaga the FU. Umaga was then thrown out by Triple H where he hit him with a sledge hammer and issued a pedigree.
Overall, it was a good show. My friend said he got his tickets that day but around noon they were turning people away who were trying to buy tickets. Also Ted left with his brother Mike. Kennedy signed a few autographs as did Jeff and even Snitsky. The girls left together quickly because some guys were trying to get to them. I was terribly disappointed Mickie did not wrestle or show up I wanted to see her. People waited a long time to see Hunter, Shawn, and Cena, but they quickly exited the arena into a limo where they sped off without even rolling the windows down.
