WWE Smackdown/ECW House Show Results (1/24/10) - Cleveland, Ohio

Wrestling News World reader Nick sent in the following report:
Hey there, I saw that you guys would like the results to the house shows, so here's a little rundown of what happened;
Teddy Long came out saying there was bad news and good news. Bad news is that Undertaker wasn't there tonight, my guess is he's hurting or something. People were disappointed obviously. As he was about to reveal the good news, Chris Jericho interrupts and talks about how he's the baddest man on the planet and that Undertaker is afraid of him and that's why hes not here tonight. Jericho insists that he be awarded the Heavyweight Title due to Undertakers absence.
Teddy cuts Jericho off and sarcastically says "that sounds good, but i have a better idea." He then says if Jericho beats the surprise guest tonight, he will be awarded a championship match next friday on Smackdown. Teddy then reveals that Triple H is his new opponent tonight.
First Match:
Fatal 4 Way for the Intercontinental Title:
R-Truth vs Matt Hardy vs John Morrison vs Drew McIntyre
Throughout the match, Hardy gets a huge pop from the crowd, but ultimately is defeated by Drew McIntyre while Morrison and Truth are out on the ground. After the match, Morrison, Truth and Hardy all shake hands.
Second Match:
Tag Team Match:
Mickie James & Maria vs Beth Phoenix and Layla
This match was better than what we usually see of the Divas on television these days, lasted about 10 minutes. Mickie James gets the win via back heel kick to Layla's head.
Third Match:
Singles Match:
Tyler Reks vs Goldust
Tyler Reks was playing a heel. People weren't to into this match, but Tyler gets the victory by using a new finisher that almost resembles a Michinoku driver.
Fourth Match:
Tag Team Match:
The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya vs Jimmy Wang Yang & Slam Master J
Probably the best match of the night, very entertaining. Hart Dynasty wins via Hart Attack on Slam Master J. I noticed Tyson Kidd has a big gash under his right eye.
Fifth Match:
Singles Match for the ECW Title:
Ezekiel Jackson vs Christian
Pretty entertaining match-up which is surprising considering most of Big Zeke's matches. Christian and Zeke were playing to the crowd, seeing who got a better reaction. Christian was cheered like crazy, Big Zeke was booed. It was pretty funny seeing Zeke interact with the crowd, a little girl was standing up and when Zeke came by she sat down real quick and he said "yeah you better sit down!" it was hilarious. Christian won via Killswitch.
CM Punk and Luke Gallows come out and save a member of the crowd, its some heavier kid with kinda shaggy blonde/brown hair. They shave the top of his hair off.
Intermission
Sixth Match:
Singles Match:
Dolph Ziggler vs Finlay
Ziggler mostly dominated the entire time, even hit Finlay in the leg with a steel chair. Ziggler was pretty funny, yelling out "This is so easy!" and "Who's Winning?! Check the points!" Finlay ending up winning, Ziggler claimed he pulled his tights but i couldn't see. He was demanding a reverse decision and even Chimmel was arguing with the ref.
Seventh Match:
Tag Team Match:
CM Punk & Luke Gallows vs Kane & Rey Mysterio
Very entertaining match, Punk was very funny playing a heel to the crowd. Mysterio did more high risk maneuvers than usual, crowd was really into the match. Mysterio and Kane win via a double 619, getting the pin on Punk. Gallows was chokeslammed afterwards.
Main Event:
Singles Match:
Chris Jericho vs Triple H
Pretty much the match you'd expect from these two. It was entertaining, but mostly just punches, kicks and headlocks until they built up to their signature moves. A few failed attempts on each part. Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho but HHH got to the ropes. He went for the Codebreaker but Triple H held onto the ropes and Jericho fell, afterwards Triple H going for the pedigree for the win. Triple H posed and then went around the crowd slapping hands and even went in the crowd i believe.
It was a very fun show to watch, I wish the TV tapings had matches more like the ones i saw tonight.
