WWE Using The King Demon, The Rock Beefing w/Vin Diesel, Ronda Rousey's Return, Evolution Of Punk

- Smackdown Live last night featured WWE continuing to build Dolph Ziggler up for his WWE Championship match against Dean Ambrose by putting him over Erick Rowan. Ambrose hit him with Dirty Deeds afterwards. Randy Orton beat Alberto Del Rio and Alexa Bliss made her in-ring debut when Eva Marie suffered a wardrobe malfunction, going over Becky Lynch. Carmella had a victory against Natalya, American Alpha went over and more. We have complete results at this link.

- We noted in yesterday’s Exclusive Update that FOX Sports 1 will premiere “UFC Presents: Evolution of Punk” on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 9:30 PM ET. The trailer for the documentary leading up to CM Punk’s first fight in UFC against Mickey Gall is embedded in the video above.

- There is a lot of resistance within WWE about them going to Finn Balor’s The King Demon persona too early but not only are they going to it, it’s now been incorporated on SummerSlam advertising materials. As we reported in our Members content, Vince McMahon loves the entrance and face paint and wants it on the main roster ASAP.

- To followup on an item we brought you in yesterday’s Exclusive Update regarding The Rock’s frustration with his male co-stars of Fast 8, TMZ is reporting the Instagram rant was targeted at Vin Diesel. According to their report, the two met on Tuesday in attempt to hash out the issues but no word if they were resolved. The majority of the cast was reportedly upset at The Rock’s social media rant for causing a stir just a week and a half before filming ends.

- More names have been announced for the WWE 2K17 video game that is due out in October. They are as follows: Alicia Fox, Andre the Giant, Baron Corbin, Big E, Billy Gunn, Braun Strowman, Bret Hart, British Bulldog, Cesaro, Charlotte, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, Jake Roberts, Kalisto, Randy Orton, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Sin Cara, The Rock, Triple H and Tyson Kidd

I’m actually kinda glad they never had The Shield use those shields. I just can’t imagine it looking cool in any way.

Now, if they had rode down to the ring in a three man Pope-mobile, THAT would’ve been cool…

    • Vomkrieg

Agreed. But plain shields and some batons vs a bunch of people on the ring walk in area might have been a cool scene.

  • Joseph James

Panthers fans must be real embarrassed with Flair. First he was giving the 49ers a pep talk right before a playoff game against them. Now he’s hanging out with probably their biggest division rivals.

Ric goes where Ric can get a free lunch and some attention.
