WWE Looking For New VP Of Creative, More On The Departure Of Eric Pankowsi

WWE is already looking to replace Eric Pankowsi as they posted a job opening for a new Vice President of Creative Writing here at WWE-Careers.com. Below is an overview of the position:

The VP Creative Writing will be responsible for the creative content strategy and direction for all weekly TV programming. He/She will manage the Head Writer, Show Runners, and the writing team, provide long-term direction in the development of story lines and WWE superstar characters, and be the primary liaison with other partner departments especially including Talent, TV and Digital.

Pankowsi was in fact relieved from the position. The move doesn’t come as a surprise as he didn’t exactly have a reputation of getting along with talent. The biggest surprise was the move took place this close to Wrestlemania. Pankowsi completely took over the WWE writing team when Brian Gewirtz was removed from his post in October 2012. He was given the position by Stephanie McMahon as she was said to trust him. You can read our report from back in October here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium.

Give the job to Wayne Keown, he’s a fantastic writer and understands the business and has proven, in the past, that he can cope with writing a lot of hours of programming.
