WWE at least wants fans to believe there is a possibility that Chris Jericho works their Money in the Bank pay-per-view next month. In a sub-article titled “They’re Due!” in the June 2014 issue of WWE Magazine, Jericho is listed along with Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston and Christian as stars with multiple Money in the Bank ladder match appearances but no wins.
Below is what the blurb says about Jericho:
4 Appearances; 0 Wins
Already with a Hall of Fame-worthy career, Jericho could still use a win at this event to make us forget about some lackluster recent returns to the ring. A contract cash-in would be just the thing he needs to net him a seventh World Title also.
I Tweeted a capture of the article taken at my desk:

Jericho left WWE after working a short-term deal to pursue outside interests last year. There were discussions to get him back for a run up to Wrestlemania XXX this year, however, a deal wasn’t reached. I heard bringing back Jericho became more of a priority with CM Punk gone but so far, I am not aware of a a new deal being worked out. Jericho has gone on record as to saying he’ll come back if there is an opportunity and storyline for him. He won’t, however, come back just to come back and would be completely fine with his in-ring career being over.
WWE Money in the Bank 2014 will take place Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the TD Garden in Boston, MA. We’ll have complete coverage here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.
