WWE Main Event Audience Drops On Ion Television

This week’s episode of WWE Main Event did an average viewing audience of 1,219,000 viewers on Ion Television. Apparently the show is ending on the broadcast network. Below is a look at viewership since it began airing live on WWE Network on Tuesday nights:

March 5, 2014 – 1,487,000 viewers
March 13, 2014 – 1,396,000 viewers
March 20, 2014 – 1,380,000 viewers

Below are the viewership numbers for WWE Main Event when it was still a “first run” show on Ion Television, before it started airing on WWE Network:

February 19, 2014 – 1,316,000 viewers
February 26, 2014 – 1,289,000 viewers

      If it’s not, it’s close. The headline here is a bit off. The show may have dropped for one week but for the previous three, it actually rose based on the numbers above.

        Would be interesting to go back and compare its ratings to Impact – defintitely got more viewers since they started adding some decent names to the show. But kind of shows that over saturation really isn’t the problem when their 6th or 7th hour of TV gets more viewers each week than TNA’s only weekly show.
