    YO!!!

    • CJ Blaze

      Sup! Rollins vs. RVD tonight!

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

        Likely RVD’s Write-off

        • CJ Blaze

Probably. I haven’t been a fan of his latest run and am actually tired of seeing him face Rollins.

          • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Yeah it’s been pretty weak since he first returned to WWE last year.

          • CJ Blaze

He just screams filler anymore. Between SummerSlam pre-shows and title matches, RVD is there.

          • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

He’s not important anymore. a win over him is nothing anymore.

          • CJ Blaze

            Exactly!

          • Seth

A win over almost any midcarder (yet alone one that loses way too much) is worth less than the Greek economy considering how many times they’ve been bailed out by Germany of late!

  • Seth

    Yo hi-ya.

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

      Yoha Broha!

      • Seth

This replay of this tag match on NXT with these two teams was a really really fun tag match. Sort’a shows what Rose can do when you let him be serious…and how fun lucha looks when you have some guys who understand how to bump for it. Just aren’t a ton of people who understand how to bump for lucha though…

        • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I like the character of Adam Rose but yes he is a fun wrestler as well. I also really like Kalisto and Sin Cara as a team.

          • Seth

Kalisto and Sin Cara gel. Really gel. You can’t always predict if two people will or won’t no matter the talent level but when you get two people who gel…you figure out a way to roll with it.

          • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I still think HuniCara deserves a shot on the Main Roster. He has never gotten a shot even after assuming the role of Sin Cara.

          • Seth

I do think whenever people are on NXT(veterans anyhow) they should be off WWE television while they work out whatever kinks(whether it be character or team) they are and not doing random 30 second or worse jobs on Superstars, Smackdown or whatever…so when they resurface…the guy has a chance to go forward.

          • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Yes that would be smart. but asking WWE to be smart is impossible right?

          • Seth

It isn’t even being smart. It’s just being organized and staying on top of things. But too many cooks in the kitchen will do that sometimes.

    • CJ Blaze

      Welcome!

  • David Jr.

    Hello Main Event fans.

    • CJ Blaze

      Welcome David Jr!

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I have to watch the new episode of The Monday Night Wars tongiht at 9!

    • CJ Blaze

I already watched it! Really loving the series.

  • Seth

This Piper’s Pit segment even if we’ve seen the coconut highlight to death is just proof of how much of an awesome heel Piper was.

    • David Jr.

In the 80s people went to see Roddy Piper get beat up just as much as they went to see Hulk Hogan.

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

They paid even more when to was hogan to beat up Piper.

        • David Jr.

A great face needs a great heel.

        • Seth

‘Just take my money! Just take it!’

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

That Warrior speech gets me everytime. :(

  • CJ Blaze

Well I’m outta here for a few minutes!

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Opening right up with RVD vs Rollins? Nice

  • Seth

Even Rob is like ‘Why should I care about my matches? I know I’m losing. They know I’m losing…’

    • David Jr.

      RVD needs to retire.

      • Seth

They need to not have most of their midcards be booked like jokes and losers.

    • David Jr.

      He didn’t lose.

      • Seth

I’m freezing as we speak in hades…

        • David Jr.

I just saw the Godwinns fly.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Holy crap Cole actually said Whole Damn Show

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I am interested in a Rollins/Reigns match. I think Rollins can continue the growth of Reigns and vise versa.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

If I’m RVD I’d be checking for a stack of Cinder blocks by the ring.

  • Gesus Oliver

Hey ladies and gents sorry I’m late. What’d I miss?

    • David Jr.

      Nothing.

      • Gesus Oliver

        oh, you’re here…

        • David Jr.

          What’s that suppose to mean?

          • Gesus Oliver

            typo…Oh, you’re here!!!!

    • CJ Blaze

      Yay!

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

The show kicked off with this match so you haven’t missed anything really

      • Gesus Oliver

Yikes, talk about a long match for once!

    • Seth

      Not too much.

  • Gesus Oliver

I know we saw a count out last night but it’d be nice to see WWE had some variety into their matches. Maybe have someone actually faint from a sleeper, for that matter tap to a finisher, or a dominate count out. They need rules for heels to break and give the match more purpose.

    • Gesus Oliver

      and it’s a count out >_<

    • Seth

I think that was you slightly jinxing that one bud.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

RVD just beat Rollins by count-out. >_<

    • Gesus Oliver

I always thought the quick roll in for the victory should be a heel move not a face move.

      • Seth

It can work either way. Just depends on how you tell the story, how it is delivered and how it is sold.

        • Gesus Oliver

I understand that but it seems like a cheap victory for a face to roll in quick for a win. At the very least for a seasoned veteran like RVD.

          • Seth

I think that’s reserved more for a babyface getting an upset victory over a monster under a rare circumstance. Works better in that situation.

          • Gesus Oliver

I agree. I could see someone like Bo (if he were a face) get a roll in over someone like RVD,

  • CJ Blaze

    Rollins has a cut.

  • Gesus Oliver

I sort of really like the new title. Just wish they filled the black background with a little more razzmatazz.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I get the feeling RVD is getting demolished on Smackdown this week.

  • Gesus Oliver

Curtis Axel? How lucky for CJ!

    • David Jr.

Curtis Axel matches are hard to type??

      • Gesus Oliver

        not worth the effort.

        • David Jr.

Who is least like their father? Curtis Axel or David Flair?

          • Seth

            David Flair. No contest.

          • Gesus Oliver

wow, that is a good question. Flair. Charlotte is better than him.

          • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

David. Curtis at least has some in ring talent. David was a dead fish.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

    It’s Curtis Axel. No Ryback?

    • David Jr.

He was cursed turned into a toy and is standing on a table, standing over a fallen CM Punk who also turned into a toy.

      • CJ Blaze

        Haha that’s great.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

    Ryback got Injuried?

    • CJ Blaze

I’m still not sure. That or disciplinary or repackaging purposes.

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Adam Rose said he was “injured”

  • Gesus Oliver

interesting group of indie talent there. Is Main Event/Smackdown in Cali still?

  • Gesus Oliver

some of the women in that party need to calm themselves.

  • CJ Blaze

And now Axel is a jobber.

  • Seth

Half the time…I seriously ask myself why Adam Rose is a babyface because he comes across like a…well I can’t say that word but…he comes across like an obnoxious jerk in terms of the character so much that I question it.

    • Gesus Oliver

      Rosebud.

  • Seth

The extras they have dancing are at least caring for this match more than the audience cares about this match…or heck…this express cares more about this match than the fans at RAW cared about most of the RAW show.

  • Gesus Oliver

It’s a shame WWE won’t give Adam Rose a chance to gain some real traction. Then again WWE creatives ability to book anything long term short of the main event makes me realize why it’ll never happen.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Adam Rose has still not lost on the main roster. the only call up this year still undefeated.

    • Gesus Oliver

      #thestreak

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

oh dear. that probably cursed it

        • Seth

He’s been cursing and jinxing things on and off for a while now. He jinxed the count-out thing earlier!

  • Gesus Oliver

What was the last good WWE Studios movie?

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

      the call?

      • Gesus Oliver

        Wrong.

        • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

i wouldn’t know I don’t watch them. I just heard people thought The Call was good.

          • CJ Blaze

Didn’t it get an award or something?

    • David Jr.

      There’s a good one?

      • Gesus Oliver

        I enjoyed Dead Man Down.

        • David Jr.

I know the best line in a WWE Studios movie is said by Randy Orton. “I’ll take it to the papers if I have to.” I’ve seen the Marine, 12 rounds, comdemned, 12 rounds 2 and legendary.

          • CJ Blaze

I’ve seen Legendary and The Reunion, both w/ Cena.

  • Seth

It isn’t a lack of actual talent with Rose. If you saw the NXT tag match last week…you know this. Give him more than a few minutes and you can see the talent.

  • Gesus Oliver

I feel like I channeled my inner Brock Lesnar during my interview today. Eat Sleep Conquer the interview.

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

      Repeat

      • Gesus Oliver

Luckily no repeat. I got the job.

        • CJ Blaze

          Yay?

        • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

          Cool. Go Suplex something

          • Gesus Oliver

I have a fisherman suplex waiting for my wife once she gets off the phone.

    • Seth

Did you tell the person interviewing you to never channel that corporate bull(bleep) like Brock told John to not channel that never give up stuff?

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

    LOL Probably not Brock’s
    (Refresh)

  • Gesus Oliver

    all new episode next?!

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

      Aye!

    • CJ Blaze

Yeah. But it’s been in the library all day today.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

    Reigns vs Bray on Smackdown

  • Gesus Oliver

I have mentioned this numerous times. Cody can polish turds into gold. I can’t wait for him to get a main event run.

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

it’ds a good thing he has youth on his sides.

    • David Jr.

Best Cody Rhodes character, Dashing, Masked or Stardust?

      • Gesus Oliver

        Masked.

        • David Jr.

          Right.

          • Gesus Oliver

It’s still too early for Stardust but Cody really showed his range by going from an Adonis to cerebral and sadistic almost over night. Just amazing.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I will surrender if Los Matadores wins tonight.

    • Gesus Oliver

After Raw last night I wasn’t going to watch WWE for a while but I can’t turn down a chance to see CJ hard at work.

    • Seth

Might just PERSONA someone there who makes those decisions…

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I still kinda want to see a tag team turmoil match at NOC but Usos/Gold & Stardust match is okay.

    • Gesus Oliver

I hate those gauntlet type matches. They are pretty much always the same story. I’d love to see a tag team scramble.

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I’d love to see the Scramble match used again just once.

  • David Jr.

Doesn’t anyone else think its wrong that for a WCW OMG moment DVD that Vince and Shane are on the cover?

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

not really. That moment was one of biggest moment in the history of Wrestling.

      • David Jr.

It was one but WWE made it into be about Shane vs. Vince. WWE vs. WCW sold itself, but no we had to have Vince and Shane thrown into it.

    • Gesus Oliver

Shane bought the company so I don’t see a problem at all. I’m more or less annoyed it’ll be just another WWE is better so they’ll dog WCW.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Cole. The fans aren’t rallying for Los Matadores, They are asking for Sami Zayn

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

That was a pretty good tag match.

  • CJ Blaze

Dear commentators, it would be nice to know which “Matadores” is in! I feel ya know Gesus -_-

    • David Jr.

      you don’t need the k.

      • CJ Blaze

        :P

    • Gesus Oliver

      They’re truly bad commentators.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

    Take out the Bull!

  • Gesus Oliver

Anyone interested in staying around for the Monday night war episode?

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

      I think I will.

    • CJ Blaze

Already watched it. Feeling a summer cold coming on an need to write a paper, so I’m checking out :-/

    • David Jr.

      I will.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

    I liked the show.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

The Rise of the NWO. The Next chapter in the WAR.

  • Gesus Oliver

    I love corporate Diesel

  • David Jr.

Is the Razor Ramon’s Razor Foam, the worst sold item ever to kids?

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

      Possibly.

      • David Jr.

Since Razor Ramon was based off of Al Pacino’s character in Scarface. And you know what they would your a razor for.

        • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

I know. But there have been some pretty strange toys come out of Japan.

  • Gesus Oliver

    Mr. Perfect!

  • Gesus Oliver

    Lanny!

    • David Jr.

      My inspiration.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

    The War is ON!

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Everything was perfect for the Hogan Heel turn.

  • Gesus Oliver

I love how WWE wants to paint the picture that they weren’t wrestling back then but were “Sports Entertainment” and take cheap shots at WCW for being a “Wrasslin” company.

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Well They had been Sports Entertainment since 87.

      • Gesus Oliver

        how so

        • Gesus Oliver

          Sporting commissions?

          • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Bingo. They had been called Sports Entertainment since 87. Even WM 3 was called the largest crowd in Sports Entertainment business.

          • Gesus Oliver

at that point in my mind it was just semantics. Still is.

    • David Jr.

I’ve heard that story about Vince saying he telling Ted Turner he was a sports entertainment company when WCW was still around.

  • Gesus Oliver

Are any of you going to be around for the PPV Blues we are running on the 7th?

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

      Nope. I work sundays

    • David Jr.

      I will.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

They did sell out. but for a while that was a good thing.

    • Gesus Oliver

      How did they sell out?

      • David Jr.

They sell out arenas for WCW.

        • Gesus Oliver

          sold*

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

        They left for the money.

        • Gesus Oliver

After trying to get Vince to match the deal. It’d be stupid not to take the money.

  • David Jr.

Scott Hall and Kevin Nash appearing on Nitro were some WCW moments are a few moments I actually remember watching them, when they happened.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Road Dogg I think Jericho needs to talk to you about memorable debuts.

  • David Jr.

Would the NWO worked, if sites liked this one would have been around back then?

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Probably but nowhere near as well as it did.

    • Gesus Oliver

Nope! We have seen lesser extents of this storyline with TNA.

      • David Jr.

RG would have broken the story that hall and nash were headed to WCW months before it happened.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Think Kane walked away from showing the image of Issac yankem?

  • David Jr.

WCW made WWF look like a superior company in the start of the NWO gimmick and WWE made WCW look weak in the Invasion gimmick. That’s why NWO worked early on and the invasion didn’t.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

The Beginning of the 83 weeks.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Nitro did change the business for the better and for worse at same time.

  • David Jr.

It was going to be Sting? Would that have worked?

    • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

No way. Sting was WCW and wouldn’t have been believable.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Hogan had to be the 3rd man. it’s the only way it would have worked. It made everything even more legit.

    • David Jr.

The only other way is if they got HBK or Bret Hart to sign, but I still don’t think it would have been as big as Hogan.

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

no. Hogan was the biggest star at the for a decade. the NWO would no have been anything without him in it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

It’s insane to see any fan try to attack the wrestlers. That was stupid.

  • David Jr.

To think, when Hogan turned heel, he was 6 years older than John Cena is right now.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Not if you ask Ric Flair Booker T.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

And that’s why it failed Bischoff. NWO became watered down and over exposed by trying to create its own company within the company.

    • David Jr.

Like WWE tried to do with Raw and Smackdown?

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

Not really. at least not until Brand Extension with was 3 or 4 years after the start of Smackdown.

  • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

The NWO PPV was the beginning of the downturn of the angle.

    • David Jr.

      Starcade 97 was.

      • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker

How can have an NWO PPV and Have NWO guys lose. It stripped the realism of the angle.

        • David Jr.

Yeah but Starcade 97 had the biggest build up probably in wrestling history with Hogan and Sting. Sting should have won cleanly, like everybody who waited a year to see the match.

          • http://www.facebook.com/WrestlingRoundupRadio Joshua Tucker
