The final rating for the show was 2.94. Last week’s show drew a 3.04 rating. Viewership dropped 5.5% from the second hour to 3.933 million viewers in the third hour.

    • Dude Love

D-Bry can’t draw, which is unfortunate.

      • Justin Lal

I think Daniel Bryan is a great attraction for the live crowd, but as far as viewers at home I’m not so sure. But let’s wait and see what the breakdown says in a few days.

        • HeelTendencies

Lets think about this though: there was nothing strongly advertised for monday …compared to last week which was MITB fall out and and RVD’s return to RAW. This week had a very slow stagnant opening ( which didnt properly hype the third hour daniel bryan show) 2nd hour squash matches and a horrible miz tv segment…besides the IWC sticking around to watch, I’m surprised the rating didnt consistently drop by the hour…Daniel Bryan’s match with cesaro was by far the highlight of the night. had me out of my seat the whole match. That’s entertainment! When was the last time you’ve seen consecutive Raws with such crowd interaction? And that left you wanting more…for the first time since elimination chamber, im actually interested in the wwe championship..

    • Michael

What exactly is your point? Because the shows average viewership dropped 50000 viewers that means that you’re right about Daniel Bryan, and those 50000 ppl make up everybody, which leaves you to conclude nobody wants to see Bryan? Get over yourself you dumb mark.

There’s such a thing called dvrs. Millions use them and ratings do not include dvr numbers.

Also here’s fact for you: last week Daniel Bryan was the number one merchandise seller in the company, where were you to complain then? Oh right you never had a legit argument so you hid in your little corner because you can’t seem to enjoy a wrestling show, you just have to pile over every little thing gone wrong in a show.

Next you’ll probly find a way to tell everyone that rybacks botch last night was Bryan’s fault for flying into him to fast, and Bryan can’t be trusted right? Idiot.

      • Justin Lal

I did acknowledge his merchandise sales. And I just said Daniel Bryan is a GREAT attraction for the live crowd (I’m implying merchandise sales), but as far as the viewers at home that remains in question. Sorry if I don’t overvalue everything Daniel Bryan does.

        • Michael

I’m not saying you should overvalue anything about Daniel Bryan or anything in life, but your constant need to bury him anyway you can is really getting tired and annoying. Proof in point was your comment in today’s premium article. That was a sad attempt to prove whatever it is you’re trying to prove.

FYI, I also think this website overvalues Daniel Bryan, but I also believe the hype he gets from this website has completely blinded you to the point you bury him every chance you get

          • Justin Lal

I’m sick of people overvaluing everything he does. Do I go out of my way to bury him? I wouldn’t call it bury so much so as trying to give a realistic perspective.

          • Michael

You think you put a realistic spin on all things Daniel Bryan when in the real life cartoon world of wrestling you made the comment you did in premium? That was a pure burial comment made for no other reason because this website overhypes Bryan.

          • Justin Lal

No I posted it for a reason. If DB is as hot as people say he is his toys should by flying off the racks. To be the #1 face in the company don’t you think that person needs to be able to move action figures? That is an important demographic after all.

          • Guest

Dont worry about these ppl. Logic wont work on them, they get mad at you for not liking bryan and act like you broke a law but they are allowed to hate cena and sheamus though. these mama boyz cant handle the fact that not everyone likes there internet heros

          • f_caus

Please enlighten us. I’m sure you know the business so well.

          • Nick K

Anyone who’s pushes like cena IA gonna sell the most toys, kids are frontrunners it is what it is. Are you gonna kill yourself if Bryan wins? I’m seriously concerned for you, it seems like you’ve gone off the deep end since Bryan became number one contender, like seriously? You went to a toy store to take pics of action figures? Sad part is there’s a good chance you hid the cena figures just to make your point. I hope you can get yourself together its not the end of the world dude, sometimes in life you’re just wrong you gotta learn to deal with it. Cena may win or even Orton could cash in, its gonna be alrite.

        • Nick K

Here’s a little little telling it like it is Mr delusional. Cena as the top Guy has been a slow death for years, like it or not the ratings have been falling for years. Take all the toys r us pics you want, you know its true. Just man up and deal with it.

      • Justin Lal

Also, people like you want to parade Daniel Bryan as the next top face for the company. That’s my point! If you want to think he can be #1 then you need to be able to handle the fact that numbers went down in the third hour which was centered around him. If you want to say Daniel Bryan is great in the ring I’ll agree. If you want to say Daniel Bryan can surpass Cena at the #1 guy I’ll give you legit reasons why he can’t. You have to be realistic with Daniel Bryan — he’s one of the guys, not THE GUY. There’s nothing wrong with that as Benoit, Eddie and Rey were one of the guys.

        • Jimmy

I think we should see what numbers Raw gets next week with Cena main eventing as opposed to this week. Then we will have a clear argument for you 2 to go on.

      • f_caus

Justin Lal literally gets a hard on whenever he posts one of his asinine comments as he actually believes that his intellectually lazy, nonscientific analysis of why DB isn’t deserving of a main event push actually means something.

        • Justin Lal

Did I say he was undeserving of a main event push? Did I ever say I was against Cena/Bryan at Summerslam? No, to both. I’m giving my reasons why he can’t surpass Cena as the #1 face. That doesn’t mean I don’t think he’s qualified to get a main event match at Summerslam.

          • Jimmy

Technically, it’s not about “surpassing” Cena. No one is taking his spot as the face of the company, they’re trying to build a new face for when he is gone. I’m sure Cena has not even come close to surpassing Hogan as face of the company when it comes to merchandise sales and all that but he’s not competing with Hogan just like Bryan isn’t competing with Cena. He’s being built for once Cena retires.

  • Shawn

Come on folks…get a grasp on reality.

  • Danny_Boy

its funny how ppl are quick to jump down justin’s throat for not liking bryan, but those same ppl bury guys like cena, hhh, sheamus, rock for no reason then turnaround and get mad when someone doesn’t like D-bry. Gotta love the hypocrisy of this site.

    • Nick K

He makes it easy when he goes to toys r us and takes pics of action figures…seeing how you’re probably him ill say please save yourself the embarrassment and stop.

      • Danny_Boy

        what up scrub

  • Lebron James

Daniel Bryan had the match of the year with the great Antonio Cesaro. If you can’t grasp that in your brain, you don’t deserve to watch wrestling. That was an amazing world class match. From the standing ovation Cesaro got from the guys backstage, I’m hoping he gets his well deserved push. Those two are the future of this company.

    • Michael Jordan

      Cena vs Punk was better

  • HeelTendencies

The best part about this whole thing is the 24 other comments on this post ( the most comments on. RAW ratings post that I’ve seen in awhile)…love him or hate him, you’re all talking about him….which means its working.
