Bret Hart was on TSN's Off the Record with Michael Landsberg yesterday. Hart talked about his return to WWE saying "I thought it would be fun". He said there was a time where he was doing nothing and took the "why nots" against the "whys" and couldn't come up with enough sensible reasons to not come back and have some fun.
Bret said when he shook Shawn Michaels' hand he felt it set Shawn free in a way. He said he didn't come back because he "had to have it" and said it was more of an "adventure". Bret said WWE didn't come to him but he approached them wanting to return. He said he wanted to "turn a negative into a positive".
Bret said one of the hardest parts about his retirement is most everyone he worked with has died. He said the ones that are alive are "trainwrecks". He said the kids today are different and "in bed by 11PM". Hart said today's wrestlers are a lot smarter and aren't out drinking all night. He said the Sheiks and wrestlers of his day never saved their money.
Hart said Shawn Michaels is a Christian now. He said for years he thought he would never forgive Shawn. Bret said he will never forgot what happened and hasn't completely forgiven for what happened [at Survivor Series 1997]. Bret said when he forgave Shawn in the ring on Raw it was "very real". Hart said when he took all that weight off Shawn's back he's been a better person and now they picked up where they left off.
Bret said he hasn't talked with Triple H much and "friend" would be too strong of a word. He said he feels sorry for Ric Flair. Hart said you have to make a decision in your career whether you are going to go home to your family or stay around the ring. He said Ric never went home and all he knows is the dressing room and drinking at the bar after the show. Hart said he and people like Hogan realized this and went home to be with their family.

Richard Reacts: There are some people when they talk you just have to stop and listen. This is how Bret Hart is for me. Whenever he does an interview he is so interesting of a person and so well-spoken I always want to hear what he has to say. It's good Shawn and Bret have buried the hatchet although Hart made it clear he has not forgotten. Bret isn't friends with Hunter and that's been pretty clear since his return. Hart is also not a Ric Flair fan and speaks a lot of truth regarding his personal life. Be sure you listen to this appearance for yourself.
