The Royalty Network Inc. has filed a lawsuit in federal court against John Cena and WWE over the rights to Cena's entrance music, "Time is Now."
The suit alleges that the song is infringing on M.O.P.'s "Ante Up" which was written by Jamal Grinnage (a/k/a Grinnage), Eric Murray (a/k/a Murray), and Daryl Pittman (a/k/a Pittman). Other defendants named in the suit include Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Stephanie Music Publishing, Inc., and Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company, Inc.
The suit asks for the destruction of the "Time Is Now" theme song and $150,000 from the defendants.
