Live Report From Last Night's WWE Survivor Series Pay-Per-View

Written by Aaron Coleman on Nov 23, 2009 - 11:40:21 AM

Wrestling News World reader Aaron Coleman sent the following:

I attended WWE Survivor Series last night and here are some quick observations.

Crowd was hot all night long and into every match except the awful Divas' match. The first elimination match was great. I tried to start a Miz chant but only a few joined in. One guy yelled "Who the hell is Drew McInytre" and everybody laughed. Me and the guys behind me commentated the match in Irish and Scottish accent the whole time. (Nerdy, i know.) Crowd was solidly behind Morrison though. WWE really shot themselves in the foot with the Batista-Mysterio match. We were completely behind Batista and were screaming one more time after the Batista bombs. I don’t know how it translated on tv but it was like a Washington Capitals home game for Batista. The little kids were stunned when he was taking on the stretcher. The second elimination match was one of the best I have seen live. I popped big for Punk. Randy Orton really is the antihero of this generation because his pop was huge. Kofi was WAY OVER and is now a bonafide star. There were huge Kofi chants during the whole night. The world title match was ok. Y2J got a mixed reaction. Big Show was roundly booed. Taker still has the greatest entrance of any superstar of all time. It truly is a exhilarating experience with the smoke and fire. You have to see it live if you are a WWE fan. The divas match sucked. People were asking who everyone was. Michelle McCool sucks and is boring. Mickie and Melina are the only ones anyone cared about. The WWE Title match was the best match I have ever seen live and I have been to nearly every WWE event in the DC/MD area in the last ten years. I've seen Rock, Austin, Brock, Taker, and all the others but that match was amazing. We were all over Cena the entire night. I hope everyone could hear on tv how anti Cena we were. I would say it was 80-20 anti-Cena. Even little kids were rooting for DX and booing Cena. After the match, DX struggled off their lost and hugged. They did not implode like Chris Jacks said because they were crotch chopping and throwing armband after the match. All and all, the best WWE event I had ever been to. Better than Summerslam '05 and Cyber Sunday '07, which were both in DC.
