Mickie James posted a new blog on the WWE Universe website today. In it, she reveals she has a MRSA staph infection in her leg and this is a recurrence of an earlier staph infection she got when in Mexico. The infection was very bad by the time she was treated as she underwent emergency surgery to get the infection out of her blood in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia. Much longer and it could have resulted in her leg being amputated.
Mickie says she is doing all she can to be able to work Wrestlemania as the doctors have told her she will not be cleared. She addressed her country music career saying she is postponing the release of her album "Strangers to Angels" to mid-May.
