Dustin Curtis Narron, 29, of Selma, North Carolina has been charged with assault and battery after what is being described as "a little disturbance" at a bar with WWE superstar Gregory Helms early Tuesday morning. According to The News & Observer out of Raleigh, an argument broke out between the two during a pool game. Narron allegedly stuck Helms in the face with his fist. Helms didn’t retaliate, therefore was not arrested at the scene.
Narron also was charged with vandalism after police accused him of breaking a wooden ledge off a shelf during the scuffle. Smithfield police took Narron to the Johnston County jail, where he was released after posting $500 bail.
WWE spokesman Adam Hopkins commented by saying that Helms has been out for awhile with a neck injury. Helms will not be punished by WWE for the incident.

Ryan's Take: Gregory Helms should be praised for his actions. Instead of acting immature and being the "big, bad wrestler" and wiping the floor with the suspect, he did the right thing by notifying the authorities. Helms is rehabbing a very serious neck injury and the last thing that he needs is to jeopardize his career even further by getting involved in a senseless bar fight. Mega props to Helms for that although what was he doing out at 2AM on a week night?
