WWE held their annual Stockholder's Meeting yesterday. The company has posted video of the meeting on their official website at this link. Below are some of the notable things that came out of the meeting:
- Vince McMahon told stockholders that Umaga will be switching brands shortly.
- McMahon talked about the Benoit Tragedy and said that no one could have saw it coming. He said that the government should not stick its nose where it does not belong. He said that he is for less government involvement and put over the WWE Wellness Policy.
- It was announced that this year's Tribute To The Troops special will air on NBC and possibly in prime time.
- MyNetworkTV will air a special one-hour recap of WrestleMania XXIV as part of SmackDown's debut.
Richard Reacts: While McMahon did not say which brand Umaga would be moving too, I broke exclusively here on WNW Premium back in March that Umaga would be going to Smackdown. WWE wants SmackDown loaded up at full strength up for its debut on MyNetworkTV so I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of roster moves.
