WNW reader Michael sent in the following report:
Randy Orton dropped into the Sky Sports News studio in the UK today. He answered questions sent in by fans and promoted Summerslam. The following is a brief summary:
Doctors have cleared him to return to the ring. He won't be on TV, however, until Summerslam at the earliest. He said he WILL be backstage and we will have to wait and see whether or not he makes an appearance. Whilst promoting Hell In A Cell, HHH/Khali & Cena/Batista, he joked that there are many people he's had previous issues with, and he might have to interfere and stir things up.
He believes there is more athleticism and high flying in the industry compared to 10 years ago, and that the bar has risen in the physical aspect of in-ring performance.
His number one idol as a child was his father whose footsteps he has always wanted to follow in. He also idolized Jake The Snake Roberts.
When asked what he would be doing if he wasn't in the wrestling business, he mentioned that he tried military after High School, but he had bad memories of it and it ended in a bad way which he doesn't like talking about (his imprisonment). He said he wouldn't be doing anything glamorous; most likely construction or labour.
His favourite match was his Hardcore bout v Mick Foley at Backlash 2004. He said it was unlike any match he's ever participated in due to the brutality.
He finished by stating he would love to wrestle for at least 10 more years, until his late 30s.
